Anthem, Emotiva, or Adcom

I want add a power amp to my current set up (Pioneer Elite 37 receiver; Paradigm Studio 40's, 20's, 570's, & Seismic 12). I am considering the Anthem MCA 50, Adcom 7705, or Emotiva (200 watts/unsure of the model number).

Know to my question, has anyone had any experience with Anthem, Emotiva, or Adcom Amps?

If anyone has heard or used these amps, which sounds better. How would you rank them in terms of sound?

I used to own an Anthem PVA5. I believe it was 105 wpc, but it drove my Martin Logan Aeon i's to unbelievable levels without any issues. Anthem makes well-built amps. But I have since upgraded to a Classe Audio CAV-500.

I haven't compared to those amps, but I really like the MCA 50. I also like the Rotel 1095.

I have the lower output Emotiva LPA-1 and am completely satisfied. I use a HK AvR 435 as my pre-amp. The addition of the amp has really brought my system to life.

I think all 3 of those are nice amps. I like the Anthem but the one I had did seem to get pretty hot, compared to most other amps I've had. The Adcom amps sound great with plenty of power. Most people on this board who have Emotivas all seem to speak highly of those as well so I don't think you can go wrong with these choices. My preference of these 3 amps would be the Adcom by a small margin.

Why do you like the adcom over the other amps? Do you have an adcom? If so, what model? What are the other components in your system?

Hey k elone!
I have the Emotiva MPS-2, 200wpc x 7. I have an older adcam. There is no comparison in sound. Emotiva is a very neutral sounding amp. I had a integra reciever before i got my Emotiva. My Paradigm's sound like compleatly different speakers. So much more depth, sounds that I have never heard before on music I have heard dozens of times.
In short, best sounding amp under $2000 hands down.

See if you can demo an Anthem Statement A5. Very nice amp.

I have an Emotiva LPA-1 and a Rotel RB-981. On my Dynaudio Contour S3.4's I liked the Rotel better.
