However, I won't be able to enjoy it unless Comcast adds it here, which doesn't look likely.

I would say the same thing, if not for ESPN's enormous power when it comes to carriage agreements.

That seems to hold true for most of their offerings, but it seems like ESPNU's carriage is pretty weak. I suspect that might change this fall, when ESPNU HD launches, in time for college football season.

I don't like it. If you give me an HD highlight, show it in HD. Not in 80% HD. Keep it on ESPN News.

And to boot, I am watching less of it because of the sidebar. Not because it is there, but because if there is nothing on the sidebar that looks like something I want to watch, I change the channel. I watched more without the sidebar because I didn't know what they were going to show a highlight of.

I noticed the other day that ESPN is now having sponsors on their bottom line. First off I don't care for the bottom line, but now forcing sponsors on that? Sorry but I'm not going to be buying anything from Kay Jewelers.

The BottomLine and the :18/:58 updates have been sponsored elements for quite some time during certain shows.

Ironically, ESPNEWS HD will present 100% of the image since the graphics package maintains a (shrunken) 16:9 pane for the camera.

The rundown and ticker are gone this morning. VERY NICE!!!!!!!!!!

I would like for it to stay this way, it looks clean.

UI noticed that, I was wondering if there was a problem. I actually got used to the sidebar. When I watch in the morning I watch the SD so the sidebar doesn't bother me. As for the bottom scroll, that is missed greatly as I can see all the scores instead of waiting for the highlights.

Or there could be a problem at Bottom Line Productions where the CGs that generate that data reside. I noticed they were having issues the last few days with the Bottom Line during the soccer matches and master control just took it out altogether.

This morning ESPNews HD had no data on the surrounding graphics. It just said to go to the the website.

That makes me think there is some software, firmware, sportswire or equipment failure or maintenance. Even though the networks physically use different hardware.
