I'm getting ready to purchase a tube preamp. My budget is in the $1000-$1500 range. Am considering the Rogue Audio Metis (~$1000) and Mapletree Audio 2A SE (~$820) preamps. Are there other tube preamps in my budget price range I should be considering?
Will be matching the preamp up to a Vincent SP-331 hybrid amp, Tyler Acoustics reference monitors, Project RM5se turntable, and server based CD collection.
