1. Astral Chain

Astral Chain is an action-adventure game where the player assumes the role of a detective from the “Neuron” special police task force, who are tasked with solving cases and investigating incidents that take place in “The Ark”, the game’s main world. Exploring the world, questioning non-playable characters and examining evidence yields clues and logic puzzles that become “leads” which further the investigation process.


2. Fire Emblem: Three Houses

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is a tactical role-playing game is the sixteenth entry in the Fire Emblem series. Fire Emblem: Three Houses is set on the continent of Fódlan, divided between three rival nations now at peace, connected through the Garreg Mach Monastery. Taking the role of a former mercenary and new tutor at Garreg Mach, the player must choose a nation to support and guide them through a series of battles. The game carries over the turn-based tactical gameplay of earlier Fire Emblem titles, while incorporating social simulation and time management elements.


3. Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is an action-adventure game set at the end of the Zelda timeline. The player controls Link, who awakens from a hundred-year slumber to defeat Calamity Ganon before it can destroy the kingdom of Hyrule. In terms of structure, Breath of the Wild encourages nonlinear gameplay, which is illustrated by the game’s lack of defined entrances or exits to areas, scant instruction given to the player, and encouragement to explore freely.


4. Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening

The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening is an action-adventure game. Link’s Awakening is a remake of the 1993 game for the Game Boy. Luigi’s Mansion 3 is an action-adventure game. It is the sequel to Luigi’s Mansion: Dark Moon and the third installment in the Luigi’s Mansion series. The game sees players taking on the role of Luigi who must explore a haunted high-rise hotel, incorporating different themes on each floor, and rescue his friends from the ghosts that inhabit it, after the group is tricked into visiting it for a vacation by an old foe.


6. Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle

Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle is a turn-based tactical role-playing game. The game is a crossover of Nintendo’s Mario and Ubisoft’s Raving Rabbids franchises, and features both single and cooperative gameplay. The game’s story sees players controlling Mario, his friends and a group of Rabbids dressed as them, dealing with the aftermath of a sudden invasion by a group of Rabbids, who have accidentally misused a powerful invention that has brought chaos to the Mushroom Kingdom.


7. Splatoon 2

Splatoon 2 is a third-person shooter video game. It is a sequel to Splatoon, and includes a story-driven single-player mode as well as competitive online multiplayer modes. Like its predecessor, Splatoon 2 is a third-person shooter in which players control anthropomorphic squids and octopuses and use colored ink to cover land, attack opponents and clear goals. Inklings and Octolings can morph between humanoid form, during which they can fire ink with their weapons, and squid or octopus form, during which they can quickly swim through ink of their own color and replenish their ink supply.


8. Super Mario Odyssey

Super Mario Odyssey is a platform game. An entry in the Super Mario series, it follows Mario and Cappy, a sentient hat that allows Mario to control other characters and objects, as they journey across various worlds to save Princess Peach from his nemesis Bowser, who plans to forcibly marry her. In contrast to the linear gameplay of prior entries, the game returns to the primarily open-ended, exploration-based gameplay featured in Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine.


9. Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is a crossover fighting game. It is the fifth installment in the Super Smash Bros. series. The game follows the series’ traditional style of gameplay: controlling one of various characters, players must use differing attacks to weaken their opponents and knock them out of an arena. It features a wide variety of game modes, including a campaign for single-player and multiplayer versus modes. Ultimate includes every playable character from all previous Super Smash Bros. games, along with several newcomers, for a total of over 80.




10. Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is an open world action role-playing game. It is the third installment in the Xenoblade Chronicles series, and the seventh main entry in the Xeno meta series. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 takes place in Alrest, a world covered in a sea of clouds. Humans live on top of and inside living creatures known as Titans, together with Blades, powerful beings that can be summoned by certain humans named Drivers, and to whom they are tied for the rest of the Driver’s life. After he is hired for a salvaging mission, a young Driver named Rex is killed, but revived by a legendary Blade named Pyra on the promise of taking her to Elysium, a fabled paradise at the top of the World Tree. Together with other Drivers and Blades, the duo, caught in a war between countries, attempts to reach the World Tree, while being chased by Torna, an elusive faction seeking to capture Pyra.
