Atlantic Technology makes high-performance speakers, subs, and other audio products. The company has been around since 1989 but at this CEDIA it rolled out fourteen new products in a significant expansion of its product portfolio. Included among the new products are two new high-power, high-performance subwoofers from the company: The SBT-500 ($1799) with dual 10″ drivers, and the SBT-1000 ($2499) that sports dual 12″ drivers.
These subs utilize a dual-opposed driver alignment that cancels out vibrations. The SBT-500 has dual 250-watt amps, for 500 total watts of power. Meanwhile, the SBT-1000 has dual 500-watt amps that add up to 1000 watts of power (hence the model names).
These subs feature line and XLR inputs, a 0 to 180⁰ variable phase control, adjustable crossover/low-pass, auto on/off, volume, bypass, and DSP-controlled EQ. The stout MDF cabinets come in either a high-gloss piano-black, or satin finish. Atlantic Technology has not published specifications at this time and these subs are slated to ship in November.
