Question Is FR available for dubs on DMR-EA38?

Recently acquired one of these that I managed to fix up and get working again but am wondering if flexible recording is available for VHS -> DVD dubs and if so, what's the procedure to do it?

I know for a fact you could do this on pre EA-EZ Panasonic combos but I'm not sure you can on the newer ones. I tried reading the manual but I just couldn't see a place where they said yay or nay, maybe I missed it....
