Yahama HTR-2067 + Technical Pro WM 201 (Wireless Mic)

Hi All,

I recently bought an entry level Home Theater system. My wife wants to be able to sing Karaoke, so we bought a cheap Technical Pro WM201 to try.

So I'm running into connection issue, cause there is no 6.5mm (1/4 in) connection to my htr 2067.

My question is, do i need an additional AMP to amp up the voice from mic to receiver. Mic --> Amp --> Receiver?

Or can i direction just try to find an 1/4in female --> RCA adapter. Mic --> Adapter -> Receiver?

I am new into home theater, when i got the receiver, it says its also have amp capabilities (hence i wonder if i can just use an adapter). So is the "Amp" function in my entry level receiver sufficient or do i really need an additional amp.

Thanks for your help guys,
Kev

The 1/4” female -> RCA adapter is all you need. Use either the Audio 4 or Audio 5 inputs on the Yamaha.

Thanks Wayne, I found a 3.5mm female --> 1/4" male adapter. However, when i tried to use Audio 4/5, i can't hear anything coming out from my mic.

Do i have to do any setup/configuration to get the amp kick in? It maybe that i got a lemon microphone, is there anyway to test?

Thanks,
Kevin
