Netflix falls to 1080 using YHT-399UBL

My setup is
65 inch samsung 4k tv
nvidia shield
YHT-399UBL

Nvidia Shield > YHT-399UBL > TV (ARC)

My issue is within the menu of the nvidia shield I can use [email protected]
but when I go into netflix I do not see the usual 4k and UHD and only see HD/1080 titles.

When I exit netflix I can confirm that it is back in 4k mode.
Unsure if it was the cables I was using before I connected my YHT-399UBL system.

Prior to I was using a samsung soundbar that connected to the tv via bluetooth.

Is the YHT-399UBL 4k compatible ? I'm confused what is going on and hoping for some help.

Nope. It was able to pass 4k prior to 2015 before HDCP 2.2 was released and which is now used with 4k video. The YHT-399 is a 2013 model that is not HDCP 2.2 certified. You can; however, use a 3rd party device (eg. HD Fury Integral) to connect a 4k source to the Yamaha.
