What System Will Work For Me

I have been out of the AV game for a long time and things have moved on a lot so I no longer know what is possible. I do know what I want.

I just got a new TCL tv and the speakers are of course not adequate. I don't require much, as I am not an audiophile. I thought about getting the Roku TV speakers they will fill most of my need but not all.

I like the simplicity of the Roku speakers but the chromcast for the TV has it as a video player not an audio player so it can not go into groups, we use this a lot. Roku has no surround or sub, not a deal breaker but it would be nice.

Here is a list of my wants, is this possible?
It will only play the audio from my TV aps (no cable), a Nintendo switch that is plugged into the tv and Chromecast audio.
I want it to switch automatically between TV audio and Chromcast audio.
It needs to be recognized as a Chromecast audio so it can be used in groups.
Change volume with the TV remote.
The room is big and has vaulted ceilings and is an odd shape (TV in the corner).
Running surround wires will be a challenge but not impossible.
I don't want to spend a ton of money $300 or $400 max.

I do have a Chromecast audio I can hook up to it if needed.

Does the perfect HTIB for me exist?
