Looking for some small speakers like the Bose Cubes to mount on the ceiling.

I'm looking to have 5 speakers all ceiling mounted, and able to point down at like a 45 degree angle in my parent's house.

I'm willing to spend up to $3k.

Thanks.

If by Bose-like you mean small form factor its hard to beat Bose because small form factor is Bose's biggest strength. Here are a few options that could work in your case but I think that in most of these cases you would be looking at larger speakers and subs to get better performance.

I've heard these and they sound really good for the size but a little on the expensive side.

The also have this package with a lower tier sub.

my personal favorites for this application. If you can place the center under the TV I would upgrade the Center to a CG23

SVS also makes these you can pair with one of their subwoofers. These allow for versatile placement options.

You can mix and match as well. If you go the Bowers & Wilkins route I would still use the RSL or an SVS subwoofer do to a better cost-to-performance ratio.

Bowers & Wilkins and SVS can be found at Best Buy, and SVS and RSL are direct vendors.

The usual substitute for Bose is Cambridge Audio Minx Min 12 or 22. Alternatively, the Gallo A'diva (among others) is quite small and has many finishes to choose from. If saving money is your thing, then look at the Boston Acoustics Soundware (on close-out at accessories4less.com).

It's a VIRTUAL channel unless stated otherwise.
