Home Theater Option - Pioneer SP-PK22BS 5.1

I'm adding a home theater system to my new home in my 13'x21' family room. The prior owner already wired it for a surround sound system with speaker wire exiting the wall about a foot from the ceiling on all four corners of the room. So, I'm looking to mount bookshelf speakers near the ceiling in each corner. I already have a good receiver so I am looking to get a 5.1 surround sound package (without the receiver) under $500. Below is the package I'm looking at buying. Unfortunately, since I have less than 5 posts it won't allow me to add the link. However, if you copy and paste it into amazon the configuration will come right up. Is this a good value/quality for the price range?

Pioneer SP-PK22BS Andrew Jones 5.1 Home Theater Speaker Package

Thanks in advance!

I would probably not go with that package. The center channel is one of the most complained about speakers in the speaker threads. If you are limited to $500, I would get 5 of these if you are going to wall mount:

Add this this sub and you will be about $50 over budget.

If you have a hard cap $500 budget
you can use these speakers instead of the soundwares

Here are some other options:

these speakers are 4 ohm so I would make sure your receiver can handle 4 ohm loads:

the Sony core series bookshelf speakers are also really good for their cost but I would only buy them during the holidays when they are 50% off at Best Buy

There is also a company called DCM that is closing out some of their older lines on Ebay and you might still find a good deal in your budget. I am not an expert in those but if you look in the speaker forum you can find the links.

Hope this helps you get started. The pioneers are good but are lacking in home theater, especially for dialogue clarity.
