please help make a choice

hello friends,

please help me make a decision as I am not very familiar with the all the audio world jargon and technical details.

I have these 3 options (I will leave here the amazon product titles because I cannot post links apparently):

1. Pioneer HTP-074(B) 5.1 Home Cinema System with AV Receiver and Speaker Set (100 Watt/Channel, Multiroom, Dolby TrueHD, Bluetooth, Radio, Front USB/Audio in, Eco Mode), Black

2. Onkyo HT-S3910(B) 5.1 Home Cinema System with AV Receiver and Speakers (155W/ch, 4K UltraHD Lead Through, Dolby Atmos, DTS: X-Playback, Bluetooth, Hi-Res Audio, Advanced Music Optimizer), Black

3. Yamaha YHT1840 5.1 Home Theatre Kit - Black

any explanation to why one is better than the other, coming from personal experience or simply by just having a good understanding of this area of expertise would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

of the three you selected I would probably go with the Onkyo system. From what I can tell its a newer more up to date product than the other options. 4k and atmos capability a big plus. However you would be better off buying the receiver and speakers separately. You will be happier in the long run even if you end up spending a little more.

thanks Rgarc, really appreciate your answer, it's great to have a second opinion, I was almost loosing my faith that someone will jump in and give me a relevant feedback.

If you can provide a budget, I am sure that there are people that can steer you in the right direction. Since you are comfortable with Amazon check the NHT speakers which I believe are sold exclusively on Amazon,

I am restricted to only those 3 options due to various reasons ...

Realize That some of those power ratings you copied for those units are with a 10% distortion! (on one speaker and 1 frequency no less!)
Ridiculous, and frankly deceiving.

Music, more music.

Where are you located? If in Europe, look at acquiring the Wharfedale DX-2 system.

It's a VIRTUAL channel unless stated otherwise.

The Pioneer receiver looks like a real dog, so I would avoid that one. As to which of the other two ... listen to them if you can and let your ears decide.

It's a VIRTUAL channel unless stated otherwise.

I would still lean towards the Onkyo option. It looks a little more robust than the Yamaha and seems a little more up to date.
