I recently purchased the polk ds7200 for a HTIB setup. Any opinions/reviews on this HTIB?

Not familliar really with that brand. Sorry 'bout that. Have you checked out Cnet or a place like that to see what kind of reviews and feedback there are on it?

Sounds promising, but that price is atrocious. I am quite confident that there are HTIB's out there that you can get for under $1000 that will do the job quite comparably.

FWIW, I paid $699 out the door clearance at Fry's (final price w/ tax included). I agree though the list price is ridiculous, but for $700 I couldn't resist.

How in the bluest of blue hells did you get such a markdown? Ski mask? Shotgun? ;) <jaw drops to the floor>

Since you say clearance, does that mean there is a newer model out now?

I'd buy that immediately, today, if I could get it at that price.

i have its predecessor, the rmds-1. i bought it 4 years ago & paid $2100. i'm still really happy w/ it. haven't had any major problems w/ it, & it has worked reliably for me over the past 4 years. recently i considered getting a new, 7.1 system w/ analog inputs & dts, but i decided against it. i think i can still enjoy the rmds-1 for a few more years. i don't think $2100 is too much to pay for a sound system. you get what you pay for, & i think sound is equally, if not more, important than the picture. enjoy your system.
