i am looking for an optimum screen size - room is 14'x25' with a 7" riser in back 1/3 of room. First row of seats is 10' off screen, back from about 14' - I will have a ceiling mount projector about 15' back with 8' of height. I am thinking 92", but don't want to regret not going bigger - appreciate your thoughts.

What PJ and signal sources will you be using? Stubeeef's suggestion will work with any good 720p PJ and a 480p source up converted to 720p.

You could stretch that to 120" with a 1080p PJ and 1080i/p HD material, but that's the absolute limit....a 1:1 ratio.

My room is 14x25 with a 9" riser, I use a 110" wall painter screen. My first row is at 9ft from the screen and the second is 14ft. My pj is a 720P DLP.........The front row might have just a few seconds of screen door per movie.......... the second row never has any SD.

Some movies I like the front, most I watch from the second row unless I have company.....guest get the premium seats.

I would not go any smaller than 110" or 106" for your room size with a 120"max for a DLP projector or a Panny LCD with smooth Screen. JMO

Hear is a couple of shots, the second shot is the riser before the front row went in. The candy counter and equipment are in the cabined in the back of the room.

THanks for your posts - I plan to use the Sony Pearl with 720p being primary video source - I would have had screen envy within 3 months

I have been toying with the idea of having shirts printed up with a big 16:9 rectangle on the front and in the center it says Life begins at 100 ..inches that is!

Should I put you down for one
