For the 3 cd and blu ray set, about $45. I think that's about what I paid for it when it came out, and what it seems to be going for right now. My guess is once you pay for the shipping, you might as well get it from Amazon.uk.

i was looking at a listing on ebay from a buyer I've bought from many times with free shipping worldwide, then they exclude almost the whole world, including Great Britain.

I paid $47 USD back in Jan from Amazon (US). Looks like it's $45 today. It's well worth it, although I haven't listened to since I got it.

Bruce Springsteen with The Sessions Band - Live in Dublin, 5.1 48/24 LPCM Blu-ray. An old favourite I haven't enjoyed in awhile. An excellent concert disk seamlessly compiled from three different nights.

Dunedin Consort - Bach: Violin Concertos, 5.1 SACD (Linn). I really love this album. I read a blurb from a review of it that called it "comfort music" and thought that was entirely accurate. I really enjoy John Butt's informed, thoughtful, and heartfelt approach to making music. Cecilia Bernardini and the Consort are excellent, playing with virtuosity and emotion. And, of course, Linn's recording technique is of well practiced excellence. The multichannel just makes it all the more so. I really regret Linn has stopped producing them.

The Tragically Hip - A National Celebration: 20/8/16, 5.1 AC3 Blu-ray. Canada Day listening. The last concert Canada's favourite band, The Tragically Hip, performed on a farewell tour they undertook after lead sing Gord Downie was diagnosed with brain cancer. It was carried live on the CBC and people gathered across the country in homes, pubs, movie theatres, even public squares to experience it together. The Hip, and Gord Downie, were so ubiquitous for so many years in Canada, and so representative of Canadian values and self-image (five hard-working, drama-free guys consistently producing popular and idiosyncratic work, with tolerance and consideration, and no pretensions on being anything other than a rock'n'roll band) that the whole thing was, and remains, an intimate experience for millions of people. Perhaps the three hours that this country was the most united it will ever be.

Did you get it on ebay? There was a seller selling a bunch of sealed copies of that album recently, one at a time, which is how I got my copy. Agree that it's a good mix!

I'm in a surround doldrums lately, having not much motivation to pop in a disc, but I have listened to:

Fleetwood Mac - Mirage (DVD)
Beyonce - Dangerously in Love (SACD) <<< also a surprisingly good 5.1 mix, which is rare for pop/hip hop albums
Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms (SACD)
Medeski, Martin & Wood - Uninvisible (DVD)
Talking Heads - Speaking in Tongues (DVD)
T. Rex - Electric Warrior (SACD)

Yes, I don't know if it's the same guy, but it was sealed. I buy most stuff off ebay, I also got a lot of stuff of Amazon, at least two years ago they still had a surprising amount of surround sound music. I haven't used Discogs yet, I'm sure I will some day.

Oh yeah, you will need Discogs if you want to really expand your collection. I only started using Discogs when I started to buy more DVD-As but now I find that my buying is mostly split between the two nowadays. I do find the occasional hard to find album (Kelly Rowland's SACD) on Amazon too, from 3rd party sellers.

The Weavers - Reunion at Carnegie Hall, 3.0 SACD (AP). Maybe the most iconic example of this kind of purely American music. An excellent, lively concert with many of their most popular songs. Well recorded in the most significant concert hall on the continent. The three-channel stereo presents an remarkable image of the stage.

Nine Inch Nails - Downward Spiral, 5.1 SACD (Interscope/Universal). Delightful deconstruction. More listening inspired by black midi. Been awhile since I've listened to this at all, really extraordinary, especially in surround. NIN spreads wide to let you feel it from the inside.

Quartetto di Cremona - Ludwig Van Beethoven: Complete String Quartets, Volume V, 5.0 SACD (audite). I've been quite enjoying this series. Came to it with Volume 4, then picked-up the earlier ones and subsequent ones as they've been released. Clearly fine performances (even to my uneducated ear), well recorded (although, at 44.1/24, as per the Liner Notes) and mastered, and a nice front focussed but room filling surround mix, these discs seemed like a good way to gain greater appreciation for these works. I thought to check again as I put this on and discovered that Volumes 7 & 8 had been released since the last time I had looked, which was surprising since I hadn't thought it would have been more than a year since the last time, so I have ordered them. Those also appear to be the final volumes as a complete set of the eight is also available at fairly reasonable price.
