Agreed. The 5.1 remix of Merle Haggard's "Mama Tried" on that disc takes the song up to a whole new level.

Some of my very first surround discs were from the "Inside the Music" lineup. I think all the songs were remixed very well. And used discs can still be found at really good prices.

Most of the "Inside the Music" stuff sounds pretty good. The exception is some of the older stuff, where the bass sounds a little low fi, but I think that has more to do with the master tapes themselves than anything Silverline did.

5.1 mix. Will listen to the Atmos mix this evening, sans Atmos, which will make it effectively a 7.1 mix. I know someone else has already commented on liking that mix better.

While not lossless, Netflix has a surround mix for Sturgill Simpson’s Sound & Fury. I believe it’s the full album at 41 minutes accompanied by animated music videos. Whereas Thom Yorke’s Anima was only a few songs.

Last night I screened the new German release of Prince's Sign O The Times. It is a definite improvement over the Australian release, both in picture and sound. The contrast levels and color are improved, and it is a tiny bit sharper. There are three soundtracks, DTS-HD Master Audio 2.0 Stereo, Dolby Atmos (Dolby Digital 5.1 compatible), Auro-3D 11.1 (DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 and 7.1 compatible). I am playing on a 5.1 system, so I'm only hearing a fold down on the Atmos and Auro 3D. The Atmos appears to have been sweetened over the Aussie 5.1 track, but it's basically the same mix. It sounds better at least. The Auro 3D track is a mess of reverb. The 2 channel stereo track is a true Dolby Digital track, and it actually splits the sound up very well. I haven't figured out if I like the DD or the Atmos best. Both are an improvement over the old 5.1 on the Australian release.

This has to be one of the best concert films ever made. It was expensive, but it's worth it. If you want it, you should order soon. It looks like it's selling out its limited run.

So, it is all region then? Been wondering since I first found out about it a couple months ago. Says Region B on amazon.de and co.uk.

Two excellent Jeff Beck Group surround SACDs. The track Situation off of Rough and Ready just finished with the volume at 11 ! The neighborhood is getting a serious dose of the Jeff Beck Group .

I've got the Blu-ray, it sounds amazing for a 50 yo recording.
It sounds like they've rolled off the top end for a smoother sound.
That's OK with me as it's removed most of the bite that was in earlier releases.
