Wow! I just checked my records. I got it new last April for $20. The prices for these things get ridiculous when they sell out.

Just did a quick search for the Bob Marley Legend Blu-ray. There are several versions one being a CD/Blu-ray set that I have. Quite a few options to buy at decent prices. It's an excellent album and great 5.1 mix!

BTW, anyone with Guero have problems with the video branching? It locks up my Cambridge CXU if I try to do anything other than play it straight through via its basic programming.

How does Guero compare musically to Sea Change? Is the 5.1 mix as good?

Musically it’s totally different. Sea Change is melancholy, to say the least. Guero is wild, much more musically diverse and upbeat. More like his earlier work.
I don’t think the mix is as good as Sea Change, but it’s another winner by Elliot Scheiner. It’s also dirt cheap. I just got it for $7 shipped.

I wonder if there's a reason Beck never made a surround mix for "Odelay"?

Pink Floyd Meddle 5.1 (Early Years Box Set initial pressing)
Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here 5.1 (Immersion box set Blu)

Alone, quiet house, so very good. Forgot the world this morning. In a total trance. So peaceful. One of the best experiences I have with home theater. I feel at home with these.

Just finished listening to Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers ‎– Hypnotic Eye in DTS-HD MA 5.1.

Good listen with tasteful use of surrounds. Recommended.

BTW, this was Petty's last studio album before he passed. RIP.

Patricia Barber - Modern Cool on blu ray in 5.1

Before Modern Cool, listened to George Michael's 'Symphonica'. I believe that was his only live album released, and his last recording, done in 2014. Great album, though I found a touch of sibilance in it that could bother some people. Likely more the recording than his voice. This is on HFPA blu ray, but unfortunately, only stereo.

Dunedin Consort/Cecilia Bernadarini/John Butt - Bach: Violin Concertos, 5.1 SACD (Linn). Enjoyable listen on a Sunday morning/early afternoon (or anytime). Engaging arrangements, compelling, fun virtuosic performances, fabulous well-mastered recording. But, of course, it all comes back to Bach.

Don't believe so. The Consort's director, John Butt (Gardiner Professor of Music at Glasgow University), typically takes an historically informed, original presentation type approach. This disc isn't advertised as such but many of Dunedin Consort's releases from Linn are attempts to recreate original presentations of the pieces.
Arrangements may have been a poor choice of words on my part.

How’s this for a coincidence? Both arrived on the same day.

Pink Floyd- Meddle 5.1 DTS CD
Pink Floyd- Dark Side of The Moon 4.0 and 5.1 -Immersion set BD

Meddle was stuck for about 5 weeks in the COVID Media Mail backup.
DSOTM was a replacement for the bad Immersion box BD that I requested 14 months ago. I returned the Immersion box 13 months ago. I never heard a reply from anyone and figured it was a lost cause. I totally forgot about it till this showed up unannounced.

Birdsong at Morning - A Slight Departure - Blu-Ray
Birdsong at Morning - Signs and Wonders - Blu-ray

For those of you interested, Alan Williams (Birdsong front man) was to release a new CD with a Blu-Ray surround mix in June. I recently asked him status. Here is his replay...

"Nice to hear from you, and thanks for asking - everyone is doing well on the end.

Yep - the project has been delayed a few months. Was initially aiming for June 5, but now likely August 7. So many releases pushed back that there will be a glut during the next few months. Additionally, lockdown slowed progress on the Blu-ray authoring process, though I am awaiting a final test disc for approval (any day now). Once that's approved, we can go to manufacture.

Live performance plans have been scuttled, but I'm working on a new idea that might be more interesting in the long run. I hesitate to make any announcement about release dates until I know manufacture is in process. But hopefully, at some point in May we can begin to get the word out."

John Lennon - Imagine, 5.1 DTS-HD Blu-ray. Enjoying this quite a lot, at the moment. Mostly front focussed mix with the ever present strings presented as an ambient bubble. Very revealing, though, all the instruments are well defined. Just sounds great.
