This turned out better than I thought. Not really a fan of Mannheim Steam Roller, although my family, including me, likes their first Christmas album. I'm like 2 degrees of separation from Chip Davis as my uncle was in Chip Davis' church when he lived in Omaha years ago. Trivia that probably most people know, Chip Davis is 1/2 of the duo that comprised the fictional character CW McCall, who did the song Convoy many decades ago.

Usually I'm loath to Dolby Digital mixes but this one is really good.

I have this one as well, pretty nice BD. I was just playing ZZ Top Live in Montreux 2013 the other day, I’d highly recommend it if you don’t have it and is a slight step up from the Texas concert imo.

Folk Singer is stereo only, available on a couple different labels. I have the disc from Chess records. Boy howdy is this a great disc though, the space and clarity, the decay of the plucked guitar string...

You're quite welcome

I had to contact the seller the evening when I saw a new DSOTM for a good price, although it was in Euros and postage wasn't specified. Sometimes shipping is outrageous from outside the US sellers and I wasn't willing to risk the postage bringing the total to a price higher than US sellers. When I got up the next morning I had an email from ebay asking if I was still interested in the disc and almost didn't open it because I'd looked at several listings and there wasn't an email from him yet. Just for the heck of it I clicked on the link and it was my sellers corrected page. He got the listing corrected to show it in dollars as well as the shipping. I swiftly hit the [BUY] button!

Got an email from the seller right after that noting my fast response as he had updated it 5 minutes before I bought it. Grand total with Priority Shipping was $42.35

Check out Discogs as there are a number of copies of the DSOTM SACD available.

https://www.discogs.com/sell/release/378824?ev=rb

The Sea Change 5.1 mix from either the Blu-ray, DVD-A or SACD is outstanding. The mood and topic of the album are somewhat dark but the SQ is excellent. The MOFI Gold CD is the best stereo version IMO. It's almost surround like with a wide and deep soundstage. I almost passed on buying the Gold CD as I already had the SACD. Very glad I bought it as it's hard to come by now at a decent price.

Thank you very much Bill. I wish i saw your classified listing for DSOTM i would've been all over it. The discogs listing prices are reasonable I'm gonna order today .

I'm tempted to look at the sacd version of Sea Change but my blu ray audio copy is perfection. I keep telling myself i'm gonna unsubscribe from this thread just to save some money but this thread keeps calling me.

I'm tempted to look at the sacd version of Sea Change but my blu ray audio copy is perfection. I keep telling myself i'm gonna unsubscribe from this thread just to save some money but this thread keeps calling me.
My pleasure! Don't worry about getting the Sea Change SACD as the Blu-ray has the same 5.1 mix as far as I know. I have the SACD and Blu-ray but have never directly compared them.

If you don't already have it try to find The Division Bell on DVD or the Blu-ray that is part of the Immersion set. Of all the Pink Floyd multichannel mixes The Divisional Bell is the best sounding IMO. Not my favorite Pink Floyd album but I still enjoy listening to it.

I can't believe how much The Division Bell DVD is going for ! I bought 3 or 4 copies quite awhile ago when it was under $15.
