Listening with eyes closed, when you hit pause or open your eyes it literally takes a second to recalibrate back to reality.,......well worth the money !
Excellent disc indeed! Picked this one up after seeing the show live in Las Vegas several years back. Worth every penny!

Ray Wilson: Ray Wilson [email protected] on blu ray video in 5.1

This is from May, 2018. Ray Wilson of Stiltskin and, later, Genesis fame. Always loved his voice, this contains songs from Genesis and his solo career mostly. If you like Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins and Genesis this might be for you. Favourite song here is Along The Way that his brother Steve (no, not that Steven Wilson) wrote, beautiful tune. This is shot on a small stage with appropriate sized crowd, almost like a big studio. His vocals are nailed in the centre channel, guitars spread over the front stage. Decent surround action for a concert and the low end here is fantastic, really punchy without becoming over bearing on my 2 sub set up. Video is decent, but a tad grainy on some shots, not in a bad way though, kind of filmic. Great selection of songs, glad to have this one in my collection. Wife likes it too, so I can play it whenever I'm allowed to be in the mood!

It's the Nightfly JSACD by the picture which has a 5.1 mix. Importcds is the seller with free shipping. That's a nice deal for an excellent sounding 5.1 mix. I have the DVD-A and it's the same 5.1 mix.

Excellent SQ. My only complaint with the mix is with the drums. They are low in the mix. They sound like they are in a room 3 doors down the hall. Must have been the Artist's wish as they were not very high in the 1987 mix either. Was hoping the 5.1 mix would have a bit more punch from the drums. Vocals, Guitars, bass & keyboards all sound great!

Hi unretarded,

Ohhh... I really love this one! It's the funniest disc, only one song in MC but it kills you because you realize how awesome the other Stones albums would sound if they mixed them in 5.1 like Sympathy. I would be happy with just Exile on Main Street but what if they released all their SACDs with 5.1 and not just stereo... such a missed opportunity.

You would think the great results with this one song would have lit a fire under them to do more. I had hoped GRRR would be MC but alas no. Sticky Fingers, Exile, Black N Blue, Tattoo You, Some Girls and of course Their Satanic Majesties would all be welcome.

The SQ isn't great, to be expected from Rock this old that isn't The Beatles, but to my ears, the mix and mastering is excellent. Usually poor SQ means playing loudly is painful, but not in this case.
