Unfortunately the defective DSOTM Blu-rays just stop playing with no apparent cause. Check out the link below from the Steve Hoffman forum.

Good point Bill. I sent my DSOTM Immersion back to Amazon UK. The BD played fine on my OPPO’s but wouldn’t play on the Sony 1000es. I figured it was a matter of time before it failed entirely.

I guess early gripes about the $500 price are obsolete now that it's closer to $300 everywhere.

I'm looking at all the high res audio on the 6 Blu Rays and I just pre-ordered it on Amazon.

Can not wait for this ... have no use for October now.

Can you order from USA ?... In the past the PF Blu Rays have been region free.

I pre-ordered for $341.00 USD.

With the well known Blu-ray issues with Pink Floyd releases I wouldn't buy this set.

I understand that and many reasons for someone not to want the new set.

I am super happy that new masters are being released. They can scrape the barrel, ... it's a very nice barrel.

(So did I ... but this later years box set will catch me up to some stuff I kind of already have.)
Been away so slow to reply to this.

I do also have the Division Bell and Endless River box sets. And Rattle That Lock !

Just showed this new box set to Mrs M so Xmas can't come soon enough !

Cheers,

A taste of the AMLOR remaster. Sounds exactly like what I hoped it would.

Oh, are there other known problems with their blu-rays than just the DSOTM Immersion set?

There are serious issues with the Blu-ray discs with the original Pink Floyd Early Years box set. The Blu-rays are being replaced but the replacement program might be limited to a certain time frame. I have four of the stand alone book style sets from the Early Years series. I checked all of the Blu-rays and none are showing any type of deterioration. Once again poor quality control regarding the Blu-rays included in Pink Floyd box sets.

Ah, that's unfortunate. They need to get their act together.
