surround speakers

I'm looking for some help getting surround speakers. Currently I have a Yamaha RX-V2600, Polk Audio Rti-A9's, Rhythmic FX 15HP. My room is 20' x 20'. Looking for surround speakers that could blend om with what I have. My budget is $500. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance

Well, some more information is needed. Do you have shelves at the back? Would put in shelves? Floorstanders possible? In-wall? In-ceiling? Some pictures would be helpful.
- If you like your Polks, I'd try Polk at the back. has an inexpensive return policy.
- What is your center speaker?
- For music, speakers should be at ear level pointing at the listening position. "For 5.1 speaker setup, ITU recommends the right surround (LS) and left surround (RS) speakers be placed between 100 and 120 degrees with respect to the center front monitor. 110 degrees is a good place to start. "
- But movies are not mixed like that at all, every theater I can remember lately has seats on risers and surround speakers distributed along the wall. It's more dependent on the room and more tolerant of stuff like in-ceiling.
So are you listening more to movies or music in surround?
