Where to place Atmos speakers in an A-frame room

I did see a similar thread, but with a different layout then ours, so I thought it better to start a new thread. We recently replaced our dead HK-635 with a Denon avr-x3500h. We also replaced our very old rear in wall/ceiling surrounds with Polk MC60's. Now that we have Atmos, I want to get two more MC60's but I am not sure how high I should install them on the front ceiling. Our room is an a-frame with short ~3 ft walls. I was thinking that they should go either just below or just above the glulam joist, but would like others opinion. I am new to Atmos.
Also, what do I assign the speakers to in the amp? Top Height, Top Front?
Thanks!

I think I posted this in the wrong forum, as this is not a surround music question. How can I move this to a more relevant forum?
