Does a manual come with DV610? If not you could see if the manual is available online. Any idea which HDMI version it has? I believe the HDMI version has to be 1.2 or newer to play SACDs.

I found a manual online, but often the way they are written I sometimes have a tough time interpreting the information

I will screen shot one of the charts to get your opinions.

I own a 7.1.4 system, i would like to use my bass management system if i can. I do understand the discs are limited to 5.1

I have a Denon 6200 which supports 5.1 SACD DSD (or LPCM if you set the player to convert it) and 5.1 DVD-Audio. Stereo is a given for both formats.

Presuming your Denon 4300 has the same support for DSD (some avr's don't so you have to have the player convert to LPCM), then using HDMI should be no issue wrt Audyssey and BM irrespective of format.

Make sure you set the player to default to DVD-Audio layer (as opposed to DVD-Video) and the MCH SACD layer (as opposed to stereo SACD or CD layer). If you play a stereo only SACD or CD, the player will figure it out automatically.

EDIT: Some folks prefer to let the player convert DSD to LPCM. You can try it both ways and see if one sounds better than the other. For whatever reasons, I find that sending DSD to the 6200 sounds slightly better. Some folks can't hear a difference between sending DSD or LPCM.
