We both own an extensive library of SACD titles and I want to read about your top picks.

What other gear and cabling is in your system currently?

JA,

Will do! With the great weather up here in Maine I haven't been playing much music. But once the fall and winter settle in it'll be time to really crank the tunes!

I have quite a few favorite SACD titles both in stereo and in surround. I'll take some time in the future to put a list together. I've been trying to find the time to put together a list of the concerts I've gone to in the last 45+ years. That will be a test of the old depleted memory .

Most of my gear is listed in my signature. A combination of various decent cables with most from Signal Cable and some other mid level cable companies. Not a true believer in $1k interconnects and $3k power cables. Most of the Signal Cable (ICs, PCs and speaker cables) have been bought used. I like their cables as they offer great build quality and sound at an affordable cost.

I did not know if Marantz voiced the SA-10 Reference player with a certain brand of Cabling?

No problem, my pleasure! If Marantz voiced the SA-10 for specific cables I'm not aware of what they suggest. I'm quite happy with the Signal Cable Analog Two XLR cables that I'm using .

I got a whole box full of Signalcable analog cables from the 'olden' days when everything was hooked up analog.

That's the kind of stuff you never get rid of. Never know when they will be pressed into service again. Plus looking at their website, it looks like prices have really gone up.

I just finished my first listen to this Aimee Mann - Lost In Space disc.

I thought it was a well balanced album. Her songs stay within a certain "range" to my ear. I really like Aimee's tonal cadence, and enjoyed this recording very much.

I'm not so sure this SACD has more to offer than a regular CD. With that said, I do not have, or have listened to, a regular CD of this album. I'm basing that opinion on the predominately acoustic sound of most of the songs.

Great, thank you for the review! I felt that way about Bachelor No 2 as well until I gave them a back to back listen and realized the SACD was far better sounding because of the acoustic nature of the songs.

Thanks for letting me know that.

I'm looking forward to getting my SACD of Bachelor No. 2.

I'll probably do a comparison of the "Deathly" track, as I have that on the Magnolia soundtrack CD.

Spoiler!
