With a big enough pile of sawdust, and enough glue, you can make a pretty decent cabinet!

i was going to get these even though they stick out a little but then cancelled the order because i noticed they are ported on the rear and they'd be right up against the wall which isn't going to work.. https://www.amazon.com/Micca-PB42X-P...wered+speakers

Congratulations to our Rythmik customer, @jedi1982 for his Home Theater of the Month Award!! Very well deserved. His room is amazing!!

PS: He is running a pair of FV15HPs in his room. I hope he got enough room behind the screen when he is ready to upgrade to a pair of FV25HPs

Interesting. That's a larger space than my 30x20x9 living room/kitchen/dining area. I've been considering two SVS SB16's, but the more I read about the F18 the more interesting it gets.

I also considered the sb16 before the f18. But once I had everything dialed in on the f18, I don't think about the sb16 anymore. Matter of fact I don't think about any other sub anymore . It's really that good. I love how tight and accurate the servo design is. It's sounds even more accurate and tighter than my SB13 but with way more output.

The F18 is truly a fantastic subwoofer. We haven't get even a single complaint from any customer. All of them love their F18s. We are sold out right now on black oak and black matte. We have almost 40+ units coming in two weeks and we have half of those already reserved/sold.

I have this same question. I remember reading the recent review of the SVS PC-2000, where the reviewer points out that the amp uses less than 0.5 W in standby. See the last paragraph of the Introduction:

I thought I remember seeing that all SVS amps act similarly.

^^^ Note I was asking about idle power when on, not in standby. I don't remember the standby power but suspect it is in the same range as SVS and everybody else (<1 W). My question was why, when on but idle, the class D amplifiers draw more power than the class AB/H amplifiers. I would have expected standard AB to be higher and H to be close to D. But there are a lot of variables...

Hello!

I have a Rythmik F12SE at home with the PEQ2 amp, and i'm thinking of a second sub. My question is, can i use a L12 as 2nd sub together with the F12SE? I know a 2nd F12Se would be ideal. But mostly for financial reasons, i cant afford a 2nd F12SE atm. I'm living in Europe and in my country including shipping costs, import duties and probably world's highest VAT i have to pay like 1,5x if not more compared to the US prices.

You could use the L12 as a second sub, but I think that I would wait until you could purchase exactly what you wanted. FWIW if you or someone you know can build a cabinet, the F12 kit (DS1200) isn’t much more than the cost of an L12.

I have watched all these and I have to add this one for your consideration. Now it is not the best movie but my god the ULF in this movie is some of the best I have heard on my Cap 1400! The Power Rangers movie has some serious, serious ULF. I have not seen it on anyones list of great movies for subs but it is a must have to show off what a super sub can really do!

I agree. If there is a better TrueHD Atmos soundtrack than Power Rangers, I don't know what it could be. Better yet, as you noted, it has terrific LFE. My twin FV18s produced ULF that pounded my chest, shook my chair, and rattled my plantation shutters. Fun stuff!

I don't see me watching Power Rangers but I'm looking forward Marvel's Black Panther who was recorded and mixed by Chris Fogel at Elbo Studios with a FV15HP

I agree that Power Rangers is weak dramatically. Nevertheless, it looks and sounds great and has some exciting action sequences, so I have not regretted spending my money on it. I gave it a vote of 7 Stars out of 10 on IMDb. What can I say? I enjoy loud and dumb movies, which have good production values..

Loud (& dumb?); try Blade Runner 2049. Excellent soundscape (running 5.2 (2xL22)), nice visuals, lame backstory.

Put in an order of two FV18s for the mixed use theater/media/studio/conference room at our shared office space. I'm excited that people who would never know the difference a quality sub makes will now get to experience the good stuff, even if their capability is unused most of the time. Hey, headroom.

Room is going to be 17' x 25' x 9.5' with a 138" screen running true 4k. Northern Coloradoans can come see the place the room when it is done.

I preordered Blade Runner 2049 from the Kaleidescape store and downloaded my copy to my Kscape Strato last December. I loved it in the theater and have watched the UHD HDR TrueHD copy on my Strato several times since. I confess that I am a Blade Runner nerd, so I would have been surprised if I hadn't liked the sequel as much as I did. It has one of the best TrueHD Atmos soundtracks I have heard. It's LFE was great too. It made my FV18s shake rattle and roll.

With a budget around $800 does Rhytmik Audio offer a sub to my needs. Mainly used for movies and gaming with some
Music. Right now I have the sub that was included with my onkyo htib 7100 and it’s not bad but bottoms out on certain movies. Attached are the pics of the space I’m working with. Thanks I’m advance

Not bad? What until you hear a real subwoofer, you'll change your tune...

That is a pretty massive space so it's unlikely any single $800 sub will knock your socks off, but it will surely be better then what you have now. The FVX15 is perhaps the smallest in the Rythmik line you should be considering, so if you can up your budget a bit that would be a good option. Next best choice is the LVX12, which itself is no slouch. That one fits in your budget, with room to spare.

If you take yourself too seriously expect me to do the exact opposite...

Any of the Rythmik subs will be a huge improvement over your htib sub! If movies and gaming are the priority over music then a ported sub is your best bet. There are no bad choices, but the more that you spend the more you will get from bottom to top of the line. The LV12R at $550 shipped would be a great choice and you could use the extra $250 to upgrade to a higher quality center channel speaker, which is the heart of a HT system.

Well then yes, with your large room the largest ported Rythmik that you can afford is your best bet.
