Thanks. The rack is made up of VTI BL model pieces. It comes in four different heights: 2, 7, 9 and 13 inch plus the frame spacing which is a little more than an inch. They are modular. The height of my rack is about 36” I think, but you can make any combination. There is also different color frames, spikes and shelves that can be mixed in different ways. The support poles are hollow and can be filled with sand. It’s an awesome product.

Thanks much man! I'll be ordering shortly! Love the modular-ness. And actually I just googled "spiked audio rack" and they came right up!

Thank you again and keep kicking ass on your system!

@javan robinson , if you're going to rep rythmik, you should spell the name of the company correctly

Do you notice that you still get a nice chest hit when needed during movies (given that you are on a concrete slab)? I am trying to decide between this one and the FV18. I like the idea of the precision of this one, but many people are saying I should go ported for being in a basement on concrete. Thanks for any insight.
My room is pretty small for the subs at 13x11x9 so there is enough headroom to get any kind of sensation I want without heading anywhere near distortion or bottoming out. I had dual PB16’s prior to the G25HP’s in the same room and for any reasonable volume.. and by that I mean reference and below I feel that the G25HP’s give me more of everything I was aiming for (cleaner output, lower extension, less ringing, better transient response, way way more control in the ultra low HZ). The impact can be felt through my recliner, upon my pant legs, and squeezing my chest without much effort, but honestly I have come to appreciate the accurate reproduction of the bass more than the tactile response and pressure. It’s a pleasure hearing the nuances in the bass tracks with such control at frequencies that used to be a bit drowned out by ringing. I’ve attempted to run these at levels which they are capabale of and all my **** just vibrates like mad and I have rattles all over the room and house and it’s just not feasible to run them with that much output in my space with or without the wife present in the house lol. I’ve had them in 14hz/HighDamping and it leaves nothing more to be desired. That being said.. the critical listening and comparing of the FV18 by others in this thread can not be understated.. I honestly think you would be completely satisfied with both. I think I would be also despite never hearing an on par vented Rythmik sub.

Sure! I also agree looks are just as important as function and I want both! I have two different fillers in the pillars using three methods, sand, stainless steel and a mix of both! I started with the black shelves and later on got the Cherry, I went with them largely because it was the only rack I could find at a decent price to fit the depth and weight of my Parasound halo A21 Also finished my rear wall with some GIK panels to accent my F18 in the rear of the room

Hey thanks much man and I'll keep you posted! I'm going to do some research tonight and I may get a few pieces and fit em' together how I need em. Getting an MTM 210c center today that will NOT fit on my current rack so I may need to get a smaller VTI rack for the front, making the tweeter of the 210 around 36 inches or so, and then get another VTI rack to match the smaller and put that one off to the right which would have all of my components.

So basically, exactly like yours but my stands on the left would be a bit higher to accommodate my center @ ear height.

And I feel the same way about just looking at all of the blinking lights and knobs and hue aromas, mmm.. lol.

Oh and I'm in Ohio so pretty sure not a lot of places or any that carry those VTI racks around me local, but I'll be a searchin!

fair, but i die a little inside when i see spelling & grammatical errors in user signatures here. i might actually re-join the family soon, i need something for my living room setup. was watching a movie up there the other day and all i have are a pair of in-wall micca m-8's. they're great for how little they cost but they have no bass whatsoever. waiting for an lv12f (or something similar) to show up in the clearance center...

I always thought a center channel would look great on a VTI rack. Which model are you looking at? The BL like mine or one of the glass ones maybe? Some have a handy cord routing back panel that seems helpful. As it is my cords are all over the place.

As far as the blinking lights and whatnot, yeah I love that stuff. I wish graphic eqs were still made with spectrum analyzers because I’d love a slick modern one with cool LEDs and stuff. Instead I got an older one just to have it. Wish they sold a standalone analyzer though as I don’t really care for the EQ. It’s all hard to find or make though. A

Changed the furniture layout of my room considerably. Used to have two couches in an L shape and decided to switch them out for a large sectional. I'll be busting out the Audysey Mic and REW tonight after a while of not doing so. Should be.....fun? Hoping my sub response has improved vs. degraded. With my two 10 month old daughters, its not like I use them all that much these days anyways though . Here is a pic of the new room with the dual FV125HPs on either side.

You might want to cover the furniture with some sort of cloth, at least if you get a bad Audyssey result. IIRC, leather can mess with the measurements.

Leather is the worst for reflections. When I switch to a fabric couch it sounded so much better

Hey buddy - So I was really, really looking at the VTI racks and I really do like their simplistic design and I think they look quite sharp but almost every single review that I read - had issues with the spikes being kind of unstable, said it was bad for kids, etc.

Anyways - I have 3 dogs and I would hate for my whole system to come crashing down lol. So I ended up ordering this Pangea rack. Its modular as well, definitely not as sharp, but if it works I may grab another as this Bell'O rack I got off CL is just a bit too high.

Anyways, good luck to you man, I'll let you know how the pangea works out!

The spikes are adjustable when you screw them in so it’s stable. I suppose each spike just rests in a small notch and aren’t attached at all so I can see how it may be a concern. Although once the equipment is on it the weight keeps things in place. And of course filling with sand keeps everything sturdy. I guess it is a bit fragile if you or a dog were to bump into it hard enough it could dislodge a spike I suppose. But hey, it’s part of owning expensive audio equipment I figured. Anyway good look with your setup!

Any update on when the FV18 paper cones are going to be shipped out? Has the shipment in CA moved at all?

Thanks

Hey man I totally feel it and of course like you said a BIG part of having all of this nice equipment is keeping it nice and intact. I don't by any means trash my stuff, nor is it falling down left and right lol. And for having different tower speakers over the past 8 years or so, I think only one has been knocked over and I caught it before it hit the ground - ha.

But - the thing w/ the spikes did kind of freak me out lol. Although me dogs are house trained, and getting older and less spry now - you never know! The VTI stands DO look really good though and who knows - I may be back in the future!

Getting these MTM 210's tomorrow that I'll be setting up on stands so curious how that's going to go down but I'm confident I'll get em stable enough to where they don't fall.

Thanks again man and I'll let you know how ol' Pangea works out!

I spoke with Enrico last Wednesday or so and he indicated the container had made it to Houston, but hadn't yet been unloaded.

The container is now in a warehouse in Austin 20 mins from our warehouse waiting for delivery schedule but the good news is that Brian went today to that warehouse and got the SW1825 paper cone drivers back to our place so tomorrow we will start shipping all FV18s paper cone pending orders
