I finally made it to the point where I was ready to start learning REW, when I had to tear the theater room apart due to a leak in the wall (apparently I hit a drain pipe with a nail last year while putting in the home theater)... I have someone coming in this week to start patching up the wall, and then i get back to the important stuff, like learning REW and how to fine tune subs.... :-)
I ordered the mic and stand today and hopefully I get back to setting it up the right way. It will probably take me a while lol before leaning it completely but thanks to everyone here and chucky7 I'll be able to see exactly what I been doing wrong the last couple years

Gonna start with the front corners and see how it measures. This is how the wife wants it so might have to wait until she forgets about them to move them around.
That's one great looking set up!!!

Thanks! I had to make some placement sacrifices due to WAF and the console, but I think I turned out pretty good. Lol

Price reduced to $1800 each for the FV25HP's I have for sale. They will be ready for pickup later this week. I will have the new subs on Wednesday and will slowly start to break down my entire system and reposition it.

I now know what all the fuss about going with duals is. Holy crap. I’m scared. Lol

I think it's safe to say that it depends on the setup.

Your subs are pretty much equidistant at the sides of your couch. Mine are front wall (10 feet) and back wall (6 feet) away. The gain is never the same on the subs. I also have only one sub preout on my NAD. I suppose that could be sub gain-matched, then level-matched with a MiniDSP? I haven't gotten that far, yet, but I do plan on adding one, eventually. For now, the 16ms delay on the subs is just enough to mitigate the difference.

HT: Samsung PN64H5000 (recommended settings) | NAD T758 V3 | Buchardt S400 (2) | Emotiva E2 (2) | Rythmik Audio F12 (2)

Mines are: 3 ft (F12SE), 6 ft (F12SE) and 9 ft (FV25HP) from MLP. Three subwoofers gain matched and time aligned with miniDSP 2x4 HD and they blend perfectly.

are you getting nulls at mlp which (looks like) is against back wall? my back wall has huge peaks...so if this the case you might tweak your mlp or speakers and subs or all 3. it looks like you have a large space like me...I can walk thru 5ft or more of nulls...ofc my rew measurements say my nulls only 5db, but thats very easy to hear for me.

This might be a dumb question but at 51 years old I’m no longer worried about that

If my front sub is laying down in the middle of from wall. Should the rear sub also be positioned on its side or can I stand that one up in the middle of rear wall? Does it matter for good integration? TYIA Paul

I knew I should of taking a picture lol but if I remember correctly I had dips on the 60- 80 and peaks in the 20-30. I even had to block partial walk way of my entire in order for me to get a better stable. I also have it against my back wall. Your graph looks more stable then mine looked I will post it once I get it.

You just answered a question I been wanting to ask, if its possible to the front L and R speakers to cause a issue with beign ported and next to the fv25hp. I think these klipsch do not fit well with the rythmik in my particular set up as far as bass is concerned. I tried 40 to 80 and it got worse as I set the crossover lower. I ofcourse could be all wrong lol

my setup gets better as I increase xover and worse with it lower from 80hz...anything over 80hz I can localize subs...so 80hz it is even tho sounds better higher.

Doesnt rythmik reccomend setting them at 80 and letting the sub do the rest?

I have done so many trials with rew I forget what rythmik recommends other than when running audyssey have subs on low with rumble filter off...thats important...at least in my system. after audyssey then I set to high and rumble filter on. and then the tweaks

Makes sense, unfortunately for now I won't be testing until Wednesday night. Thankfully my neighbors already know so I hope it won't bother them. But deep down I hope they hear it lol

in my home/city I can play as loud I want until 8pm...many nice days I have front/back doors wide open blasting my tunes...I say blasting, maybe only -10 on mv...but thats pretty loud. my ups guy always compliments my jams as he calls them.

I usually only play loud from 1-4pm as I am not looking for dinner time complaints...plus when wife gets home from work my music playing is off in favor of tv.

I agree that the MiniDSP would help fix any level issues due to not level-matching the subs themselves. Maybe this coming fall is the season I get to play with that...we'll see.

Right. With my Denon with two sub preouts, I could do that. I currently have only one on the NAD. So, one signal to both subs. The same gain produces a different level due to the different distances and placements in the room. Right now it's not a huge problem because adjusting the gain on one sub to be a bit higher or lower than the other helps smooth out my response.
