Ya...that will be the EXACT response.

Matter of fact, when I put the A90s on, she didn’t notice them for 4 days and I said that exact same thing.

Post Wireless Sub-woofer Adapter Kit.

Was thinking about trying a wireless sub-woofer adapter kit instead of running a long RCA cable. Does anyone have any experience using one? If so was there any connection or delay issues? Lastly, which adapter kits do you recommend?

so does anyone have any experience or any links to reviews of the LV12F, LVX12 or FVX12? It would be nice if there is a way to compare them more directly but I'm guessing there are no 3rd party tests comparing the three.

Avoid wireless adapters at any cost. Most of them add too much latency, some of them up to 45ms.

Understood! I'll try and find a new path for my cables to avoid going wireless. Can the FV25HP's be daisy chained using RCA? I know with an XLR you can but wasn't sure for RCA.

Nope. The FV25HP comes with XLR3 amp and only XLR2 amps allows for daisy chain.

So I’m just gonna throw this out there....

As I sit here and mess with this awesome piece of equipment, I literally just said to myself “I need another one of these.”

I can’t believe how awesome this thing is....and honestly, I am kinda glad I didn’t get the 18 because I think it would have been too much for my setup.

Who am I kidding...no it wouldn’t 😂

Thank you again to @enricoclaudio for all your help and facilitating my purchase so fast.

I grew up in SoCal, Van Nuys specifically. I no longer live there, but my mom still lives in the San Fernando Valley so I know how expensive it is. I hope things improve quickly so you can get back to work. I hope the stimulus package the government will pass helps you out too. You have a good attitude. Besides mooluh which is important to pay bills, a good attitude is a must and I might have those two in the wrong order of importance. Wishing you the best.

I agree with @dubusduck - thanks for sharing a positive attitude during these times of stress and uncertainty. There are so many folks out of work (or who soon will be) that need that weekly paycheck to make it. I'm fortunate to be able to work from home during this and (for now) still get paid to do so, but that's not an option for a lot of people. Praying that this will all go away...sooner rather than later. God have mercy on us.

In the meantime, I continue to live vicariously through the many Rythmik owners who post their pics and excitement here!

Big +1

The way I look at things, why spending so much money on our audio. Only to add a weak link, to reduce the best sound possible. And have the same philosophy, for always using physical cables. And the same for using hard Media over streaming. When it come to movies (BD/4K UHD), and serious music listening (CD).

I have 2 FVX15's, and I feel the same way. You really should start thinking about getting a second, because it really does give a fuller sound across the bass frequencies. Brand loyalty is something I never really take part in, but after getting a pair of Rythmik subwoofers a year ago, I have to say I will not buy a subwoofer from anyone other than Rythmik, as long as they keep making and selling subwoofers at a fair price.

It will be quite a bit more. Each 18" driver is 20lbs heavier. So my guesstimate is 80lbs heavier. G28 will be around 2db more output than G25. But as the FAQ pages from @jwskud point out, when we go from 15" to 18", the bass becomes more authoritative. Some may like that. The dual opposed configuration makes it a bit higher damped sound compared to the single driver version. That may mitigate the problem.

Just cone material itself, aluminum cone and sandwich cone have about the same weight with the latter may be lighter by 10% which is not a big advantage. The biggest difference is actually in surround material. Foam can be much lighter than rubber surround without suffering the "surround inversion" problem. The very thin rubber surround normally used in front speakers will not work for subwoofers because they cannot withstand the back pressure of subwoofers. So the rubber surround in subwoofer drivers is thicker, stiffer, and heavier.

I believe honeycomb is heavier. Light weight cones in speakers make design tasks more difficult because they imply high Fs value. That is, while light weight cone is more efficient, higher Fs means the bass rolloff starts at higher frequency. But for subwoofer design, Fs is not a problem simply because it is an active system. Most honeycomb drivers are used in speakers which Fs needs to be kept relatively low. So rubber surround is a good fit. We already have rubber surround on metal cone.

Rythmik Salk dual subs

Seriously thinking about a Rythmik F12G with Salk cabinetry to match an existing Linn Sizmik 12.45. Jim Salk confirmed he can easily match both finish and size. Question I have is the possibility of adding the F12G as a second sub now and at some point due to a failure (Sizmik failed 2x but I was able to get it working) or selling, I will add the second F12G. Would this be possible to get decent results at least temporarily or would it be a waste of time?

Additional information:
Open floor plan and vaulted ceilings in a living area that doubles as a listening room. Room is 30’ long x 14th wide with 8-15’ vaulted ceiling. Seating is about 13th’ from the front, center and sub speakers currently. Open to a fairly large kitchen and small foyer.

Darth
That dude is the Brian Welsh, the guitar player for Korn. Type in "Korn blind with guns" The song Blind is awesome too. He does Disturbed, System of a Down and others.

The dude knows how to have a good time!! LOL

First of all, hope everyone is well. We have been locked down two weeks now.

Since time is not a concern, I have found a new place for the FV25, and it performed even better!
I took a photo while I was listening to, not watching, Hans Zimmer Live in Prague, and Yo Yo Ma playing Ennio Morricone's Gabriel's Oboe afterwards. Thought I share it here

Stay safe and keep well everyone!
