China has been counterfitting some of the audiophile cables for years, especially Kimber Kable for some reason. And CD's too---the artist sees no money, nor obviously the real record company.

I guess I can but I don't want to do it. Posting any picture of this company products is kinda giving free advertisement to a false product.

Well, wire, cables, accessories, etc. tend to have (usually much) higher profit margins than speakers, subs, TVs, AVRs, and amps... and if a Chinese company can make a cheap imitation that looks similar to a high priced product on the surface...

Obviously, a very shameful practice... and they basically counterfeit the entire gamut of consumer goods.

I was curious so I googled that cable company's website and they have an entire section of the main page dedicated to avoiding counterfeits... wow, must be a major problem.

I ordered one today along with Sierra center and will order another one in 45 days to maintain the discount.

Thank you all for the advice and help.

The only upgrade from a pair of F12's is more of them, or any other sealed Rythmik. It's best not to mix sealed and ported, it is said. So no matter where you go from here, you can keep your F12's, no need to take a hit by selling them, even if you go bigger. The F12's will still sound great if you add an F15HP, F25, or any other sealed Rythmik. DonH50 recently added a second pair of F12's to his originals.

That rule about mixing different subs has to do with the low end right? Phase delay and extension?

Its not just consumer goods. They steal our technology and copy (or try to) military stuff as well. Everything from drones to aircraft carriers and nuclear technologies.

I have zero problem with cable scammers getting scammed in return. Karmic justice. In fact, it would be funny if one of their counterfeiters called themselves Karmic Kable. I would feel a little bad for those buyers though. They deserve to get what they think they're getting, not some sloppily done imitation (when it is sloppily done). While there is no real sonic advantage, many of those boutique cable brands at least provide a nice-looking and solidly built cable. The buyer deserves to get that aspect of what they paid for.

The frequency response, phase and magnitude, is very different between sealed and ported subs. While worse at and below the port cutoff frequency, some differences naturally extend above as well as below cutoff. This makes it very difficult to successfully integrate sealed and ported subs in the same system. Not impossible, but a challenge.

I just ordered a FV15HP last night and to my surprised I already received a shipping confirmation this morning.

Why am I surprised? I'm one of the unfortunate dudes that ordered a sub from RA.

Well I ordered a Rythmik F12SE to replace a Velodyne HGS-10 that may have to have it's amp replaced for the second time in 15.5 years. I figure I can possibly troubleshoot it later. This sub is part of a 5.1 "computer" system I have. I was going to do the home theater system first that has a Velodyne F-1800R II sub in it, but the smaller one called attention to itself now.

Anybody want to buy a Velodyne HGS-10 for parts or fix it themselves?

Yes, UPS label is ready and your FV15HP will go out today. We usually ship Mondays and Thursdays but I asked Brian to ship yours today because I know your story with RA and all the frustration some of you guys are going through. Please, report back your impressions and if you need any help with setup just give me a call @ 512-565-0292 or post your question over here. We have a bunch of people in this thread willing to help you getting the best out of your new FV15HP subwoofer

Gary, yours won't go out today because we need to put the XLR3 amp in on Thursday But the good news is you will get it by Friday

Enrico, I did not see a price listed on the site if I wanted to buy the amplifier alone. Is it possible to replace my two older A370-PEQx with XLR2 amps to match my newer pair? How much? PM if not appropriate for the forum, just curious.

Thanks - Don

Yes, we can do that. Please send me an email to [email protected] to include Brian in the chain then we can move forward.

Thanks Enrico. I really appreciate it. The support in this thread has been tremendous which is one of the reasons why I chose a Rythmik sub. I'm looking forward to playing with my new toy and will definitely report my impressions back. I will most likely end up ordering another one after I'm blown away.

Thanks again.

My Rythmik sub should be here sometime next week. Getting excited to hear a legit sub. I had some money tied up in RA as well but I was able to dispute the charge and get my money back without any issues.

@buckshot we better get some pictures when you get it and your initial review of it

I'm right there with you. I'm super excited to actually see a shipping confirmation! You know what I mean? I have a dispute open with Paypal to recover my funds but let's not damper the mood. lol

This will be my first real sub so I will post some pics and a noobie review. I hope this is not a beginning of an addiction to BASS.
