Peru Illinois.

I don't really have any audio enthusiast friends so it would be nice to have someone over for a demo and even to help me out with improvements. It would really be cool if I found someone local!

Anyway my gear is in my signature

^^ I travel away from home for work on weekdays and only home during weekends. As a married man with three little kids, I barely have time for myself when I am home. Carp has been on the first page ever since this thread was created. I agree with the rest of your list though

This thread has been around for over 4 years and I just clicked on it for the first time. Good idea Archaea. I wonder if other Iowa guys know about it? Seems unlikely since there is only one on the list so far.

Yeah, I wish more people took advantage of this thread. It is great for people to share experiences from different setups. It can really give one an idea of what they might like or not. I usually build a sub if I can't travel to hear for myself. I have 3 kids and it is almost impossible for me to go to GTG's but I sure can host except my room holds 7 seats. I want to hear GH's and the SI24. Anyways, Archaea can update mine to 12 ported SI 18's running off a clone(yes, it works awesome).

Once my setup is actually done I will ask to be added, but there is still some acoustic treatment needed, and I do not have full theatrical Reference Capability, as my build was more budget-oriented.

First of all, I would like to thanks @Archaea to create such a wonderful thread beside from letting me demo his Cap2400 pair/ JTR228 a while back. Since the creation of this thread, I have been to @carp (8 sealed SI18/212 JTR, @gpmbc (8 sealed SI18/JBL cinema (don't remember the model)), @raynist (3 Triaxes/Emptek) and most recently on Monday night @mhrischuk (Submersive master/slave and Legacy Focus SE) and on Tuesday night @craig john (3 Submersive HP's/Triad platinum). Each of the system all has the strength of its own being louder than I can handle (with one exception of @craig john system). Craig has his room treated so well with acoustic panels and bass traps that I can sit there all day listening at reference level. It was loud but less ear ringing. Too bad @Gorilla83 is out of town. I also missed @popalock and @asoofi1 a couple months back. Can't wait to see my next destination to audition more stuffs owned by AVSers in which there is no dealer for them. This is a very valuable thread that allows one to connect with AVSers. I highly encourage folks to look up here when traveling. Again, thanks all that allows me into your places and have fun Much appreciated.

I think this thread is a great idea. When I was looking for speakers I bought blind because of feedback from forum members and I am quite happy. I am thinking about adding subs but would love to hear some before I purchase. My thoughts at this moment are:

Submersive - including the upcoming Submersive XL...I'm on the notify list
JTR S2 and S1
JTR Orbit Shift LFU - even though I think it's too big for my space but I just gotta hear one
