Yeah those subs roast that song. The ported have a hard time with that 10hz section... as to be expected. The rest of it is very violent in my home.

Try turning down the Room Size. It should clean up some of the sympathetic vibrations.

Decaf - White Clouds

That's as good as it gets for me. I've been listening to that song for 3 years now, and it never gets old. This song will show you things about your house you may have never known. And what a peaceful song it is!

https://youtu.be/S96SguswXY4

And here's the original piano piece (not bass boosted). I became a fan of Ludivico with this song! Video is beautiful too!

I’m afraid to try this song on my dual V3601’s: could result in the rearrangement of internal organs! Seriously, Tom and Jim should put warning labels on these beasts!

Do it! Just make sure to drop the volume at the "chorus", then back up again.

You won’t get much impact at all when the bass drops down during the chorus. The rest of the song it makes my drywall scream

Suck My Bass (Lo & Slo Remix) is also available free via streaming if you have Amazon Prime. I went ahead and paid the big .99 for the mp3.
As far as sealed vs ported, I don't know. I wasn't getting impact at the super low end, it rattled the basement door pretty good, but the rest of it, wow! I have dual sealed Rythmik F18, which are probably in between the s3601 and s1801 at the low end, and about the same as the s1801 higher up. (Just guessing). I'll be honest, I'm afraid to play it too loudly (I was peaking about 105 db) because Rythmik doesn't use DSP, and I probably should turn the rumble filter on for music like this. I did achieve some sort of pressurization in my sealed room, and discovered some new sympathetic noises.

After working with this for the last several hours (I tried every suggestion offered), i disconnected the Antimode i had installed months ago and voila! Everything came alive, and with none of the distortion I had been experiencing. What a tremendous difference! I’ve never experienced bass like that in my house EVER! The Antimode was strangling my V3601’s somehow. The plan now is to install a MiniDSP 2x4HD, manually set levels, timing, distance, phase, etc, then buy the Dirac plug in and run that. I can’t wait to re run some bass heavy favorites (I’d be doing it now, but it’s getting too late). Thanks again!

I need to get this disc and try to duplicate this here. I haven't run into any type of gain ceiling with the anit mode stuff here but I certainly haven't tried a big number of discs either. Can you link the specific disc you have. I won't the be sure I get the exact copy.

Thanks!

Also, you have the 8803, right? Not the big dual core or the newer x4?

Hi Tom:
Thanks for your diligence in following up with this. I was using an Antimode 8033S11, and the disc was the 4k version of Saving Private Ryan (Atmos). The Omaha Beach sequence near the beginning and the final battle near the end all exhibited the aberrant behavior off and on.
Btw, I bought the Antimode used, and i wouldn’t be surprised if the previous owner also had issues with it.

Here is my music from tonight! It’s cool because I find my kids sitting down and listening to music with me as they get older, They are picking up on some of my habits and seeming to enjoy themselves. My one son likes to listen past reference volume and the one day I came inside from mowing the lawn, and I thought I could feel the bass in the backyard, and a little **** has it up to +3 listening to Rihanna!! One things for sure, they will be spoiled with my stereo And I hope that they develop a passion

Let me send you a fedex label and get that 8033 here for some experimentation if you don't mind. Once I'm done with it I'll send it back. I'd really like to pop the hood on this one(so to speak) and figure out exactly what's going on---just for my own curiosity. Sound okay? I dont need the mic or the PS, just the box. Sound ok?

I recently came across a newer band called Greta Van Fleet the song highway tune, his opening vocal has me thinking his mom has been lying about who this guys dad is. I've never heard a band that could replicate Led Zepplin vocals. He nails it pretty well.

I started playing that track and my daughter yelled from across the house "Is that John Bonham"?

My foot is still pounding out that bass line. Love it.

Just as an FYI. I have an L shaped room that measures about 2,100 cubic feet and my pair of S3000is perform perfectly. The first movie I watched after I put them in was Bladerunner:2049. Right at the beginning of the movie the bass drop hits and rattles the wall and all the pictures on it on the opposite side of the room. If you can't get the S3601 then I don't think you'll be disappointed in the S3000i.

WOW, a Zeppelin type of sound, and yes Robert's voice does seem to come ring in the headphones. I am at work, but will lite up the PSA system tonight. Really replicates Rogers voice well in highway Tune!

Right at the beginning of the movie the bass drop hits and rattles the wall and all the pictures on it on the opposite side of the room. If you can't get the S3601 then I don't think you'll be disappointed in the S3000i.
I think the S3000i has lost its spot in the limelight with the new shiny 18" offerings, but I still feel like it is one of PSA's best all around subs when you take into account size, output, extension, etc. I can still remember how hard a single original XS30 pounded on music in my room.

The S3000i rocks , unfortunately ive been spoiled by the S3601's and where the S3000i leaves off , they pick up and run! But the 3 play well with eachother!
Glad to see the PSA forum was in full swing this weekend! That spring GTG last year was one for the ages! Glad to have been there. I think we ALL have learned a lot since then....
