Im gonna make a pot of coffee, snap a couple pics, move some of the junk in the half finished HT room out of the way and fire them up (one at a time though, my old Yamaha HTR 6080 is only 7.1 /cry)

Slingblayde, can you tell me if you had to pay any duty? Or did you just have to pay the taxes at the border? I'm located in Vancouver and wanted to order 2 XS15's and have them shipped to my buddy in Washington and just run down and bring them back myself.

BeeMan thanks for the linkage. I know what IM going to buy tomorrow! biggrin.gif

@raynist - I got them shipped to my buddies house over in Detroit, I only live a couple miles from the border of Windsor and Detroit, so I can go over to his house and be back again in about an hour, sometimes an hour and a half depending on how wacky the traffic is on I-94. Customs didnt give me any hassle, I was in and out in 5 minutes.

@jbrown15 - I had to pay GST tax on them, heaven forbid the Gov't doesnt get its sleazy hands on a little more of our money. GST tax = %13, so it cost me another $197 bucks. Shipping them over to my buddies house saved me about 200 bucks, the quote PSA got from Fedex to ship directly Canada was quite expensive. If you can do the same thing I did I would recommend it.

I also have to add the guys at PSA were very nice to deal with in all aspects of the sale of these 2 subs to me. Cheers!

Hi all,

Quick update: We have had a incredible "run" on XV30s in the past week or so. Thank you to all who ordered of course! Bad news---we will be out of XV30 enclosures for a short period. All current orders are okay(being built this weekend for shipment Monday). But any new order as of 11/16 (2pm) will be delayed. I apologize for any inconvenience this may cause anyone.

XS15 and XV15 will continue to ship out within 1-2 business days of ordering.

That's great news for Power Sound! Congratulations on what appears to be a top product.

Hopefully the new XV30 owners will come back with a review or two soon.

I found an RCA Y splitter in my "box" of spare wires. (I think everybody has one, with a zillion different cables and wires that came with components over the years) I hooked up the first sub last night and messed around and was VERY impressed at the performance of it. Today I found that Y cable and hooked the second up and was in shock at how awesome 2 was. I used a cheap red/white RCA cable, split it down the middle and ran it to both subs, unbelievable.

I LoL'd at the size difference of the Logitech Z680 5.1 system I had rigged up downstairs compared to the size of an XV15. And to think I thought that craptastic Logitech sounded pretty good.

Glad to hear that your happy with the XV15s, can't wait to get the second, I'm going to have a hard time sneaking that second beast into the house without the SO noticing, I'll just tell her again to expect something big today and she will be too excited to notice biggrin.gif:D:D

Now this sounds like a fun time! smile.gif So you stacked both of yours? If so does it look a little funny given the gap with the base stand?

Thanks for sound tip in the options menu. I had not seen that yet! I can't imagine it being any louder than it already is when the bombs are being dropped. I am pretty jealous of the duals. I have no space and my wife would kill me. Would love to see a picture of your stacked duals, and the 4 TV's! That is going to be one hell of a fun time for you guys.

Nicker1987, just curious. In your equipment list you have a Panasonic 65st50 TV listed.(Great TV BTW). Wondering what (if you don't mind)
what your other 3 TV's are. If they are Panasonic 65st50 that would be beyond awesome!

Not worried about them vibrating off the top of each other? I mean you would obviously see it, its not like it would fall on the floor, but I wonder if it will end up where you have to realign them after every movie. Maybe place some sort of cloth or something between to act like a gasket to keep the surfaces from sliding around?

Good point. Something like this (pro-grip shelf liner) should work well. (I used it to keep the SHO-10s I was demoing from moving around on my subs.)

Or maybe Sonic Barrier. This stuff comes with "PSA", which in this case doesn't mean PowerSound Audio but Pressure Sensitive Adhesive. Either way, it seemed like a nice tie-in... biggrin.gif

If you take yourself too seriously expect me to do the exact opposite

More than likely, you won't see the movement happening because it will be dark in the room as you're watching your latest action movie thriller and then "BAM!", over goes the upper subwoofer from vibration caused movement as in;"WTF!". Not good. Ruins a good movie when that happens. tongue.gif

As a suggestion for preventing movement, use small round rubber pads which are a bit larger than the subwoofer leg ends. The smooth rubber will grip the top surface of the lower sub and the legs of the upper sub will indent the rubber pad which will have the affect of gluing the two subs to each other with no damage to the lower subs top surface.

If one uses natural fiber material, unless glued or taped in place, the material won't stick to the surface and "WILL" move about. Not good.

Hope the above helps.

eljay, I will be going for your placement setup also, Tom actually suggested placing them in the front L&R corners, as he knows my room and how well one is performing in the right front corner, hopefully I will have the second soon. Nice setup brother:)

I have placed the subs eljay style, on either side of the screen. I ran YPAO on my older Yamaha HTR 6080, bumped up the subs a couple DB, and fired up Saving Private Ryan, I was blown away. I watched Disney-Pixar's Brave tonight also, great movie, excellent 3D and very good sound.
Needless to say I am EXTREMELY satisfied with these subs. Now hopefully the Onkyo 818 goes on sale for Black Friday, I think thats what I'm going to use to run my HT. The HTR 6080 is nice, sounds good, but it just doesnt have enough HDMI's on it (2 in,1 out) I like the 8 HDMI's on the Onkyo, and I like the SiriusXM feature, but the rest of the goodies like Pandora, Spotify etc, I probably wont be using.

Kudos to Power Sound Audio for making subs that kick buttocks!

Looks like a very solid unit for the price. Nice job Tom and co.

It also looks like the Hsu VTF-15H is still a very well priced competitor.
