Well... I'm always excited for a new subwoofer and I was excited to try that sub out because I really wanted to go the LT route. So I guess I was about as excited to try that sub as I am any other sub.

But this TV36 iPal subwoofer is different. I'm far far more excited to hear the TV36 iPal than I've ever been for any other sub. The next closest was my excitement when I pre-ordered the original V3600 and was waiting for that. But even that doesn't come close to this. I think part of the reason is I'm excited about the sub but I'm also excited to get my HT up and running again. Just a few more days.

Subwoofers: PSA TV36 iPal X2 ...Speakers: PSA MTM-210T L/R - PSA MTM-210C Center- PSA MT110SR's Surrounds - RSL C34E Atmos... Motion Actuators: Crowson Shadow 8 - X2

I am VERY much looking forward to your feedback on it. I too ordered the ipal version and currently have a JTR 2400 (not ULF). The main reason I originally went with the JTR over the V3611 is I wanted a sub that could get into the LF arena. Although I really love the JTR, I'm left wondering what I am missing (if anything) in regards to mid-bass after hearing comments from you and others who have the V3600's. Hence, one of the reasons why I decided to go ahead and pre-order the TV36. Since you have had both the JTR 2400ULF and V3601 you will be an excellent judge on how the TV36 compares to the other two.

These are 21ipals, sealed versus horns which the ipals were made for. Same amp used for both and 2 drivers in each cab. You could argue tuning them to 15hz in a ported enclosure is not ideal either but ported does help get the extension and they have plenty up top for midbass, which i assume why they were chosen. Depending on what tune you run will vary the difference in spl but its really close until you get to 20hz.

You can run them like that and put a Linkwitz transform on it and Im sure it would sound great but as you can see you would be leaving a large amount of output on the table.

I made a subreddit for Power Sound Audio on Reddit. https://www.reddit.com/r/PowerSoundAudio/

@Tom Vodhanel if you'd like to become a moderator of the subreddit, let me know and do I have your permission to put your logo on the subreddit and possibly any images from your website/social media?

Mikey Mikey Mikey what makes you think that my friend.......... This is the first time in seven years that I've refrained from getting a new model subwoofer but I've never passed on a new Flagship, at my age I believe I have one more good move left in me and discussed this with Tom, I have some options now but after talking with him decided to pass on the TV36 and IPAL options, I've also done something unheard of in my career, consulted with my better half.... we agreed but we'll see come Christmas time.............

That is quite a bit of restrain @ahblaza . Not seeing you in on the pre-order, and having a thorough review is going to be out of sorts. Respect talking to the other half, as I seem to do that now more than ever.

I think it's more like 2/dual more moves in you my friend. I was just thinking that the Jeff we all know does not pass on new PSA subs so I'm putting my money on you getting 2 of the big boys when they are announced.

Hi all,

Couple very quick comments.

1) First start-to-finish production build of the new TV36 will happen tomorrow. I've run into a few (very)minor details regarding final production that, to be honest, we could have ignored and no one would even have noticed. But I'm getting a little obsessive.

2) Anyone trying to reach me , please email. I don't get the avs notifications(i blocked them because I would get 10-20 a day in the past). Phones are still going to be sporadic for a few more days, but I make it a point NOT to leave the office every night until I have answered every email. That might be 11pm-12pm or whatever. But I'll get to them..

3) I want to thanks everyone on the pre order list for being so patient. I haven't shut down the office before midnight going on 15-20 days in a row now. So, trust me, we're not slacking. But even so, I understand the anticipation involved and that I'm technically a couple business days late on my self imposed (end of may) initial shipment estimate. I really am very thankful that with each communication so far everyone is *very* supportive and patient.

Tom ain't kidding, he replied to my email at 11:30 last night. I appreciate it, but I'd rather he get some sleep - would hate to see PSA have a Philharmonic situation.

In happier news, I realized I'm at spots #3 and 4 on the preorder list, so with any luck, I'll be seeing the subs on Friday

Receiving Friday? So we can expect detailed review by Sunday, correct?

Yeah, believe it or not Tom has maintained this level of focus and work for a very long time. He was answering emails at 11:00 on Saturday night five years ago when I had questions. I think right now he's stepped it up a notch and is working 25 hours a day but that will probably drop back to 22 hours a day once these new subs get out the door.

I can tell you this, I've talked with Tom in person and over the phone on a number of occasions and it's very obvious he loves what he does... he has nothing but passion for his products and his customers. And that's why he still in the shop at midnight trying to get these subs perfect all while keeping up the customer service we all expect. And personally I'm very thankful for his dedication and commitment.

I'm already so far down the rabbit hole my friend, I feel like the "Architect" of the Matrix and seen the "ONE" many times already, I think I'll have to defeat the Smith program in December though and end this war.......

LOL... don't fool yourself @lizrussspike , you took the red pill long ago and there is no going back. You're just resting before your next trip.

And Jeffrey you and I both know there is no ending this war and there is no bottom to this rabbit hole. We've both looked and it's not there. And there's no climbing out. You may stop falling for a little while but you're still in the A/V rabbit hole and sooner or later you'll fall deeper in.

And sooner or later, when the right product comes along, even basshead the strongest of us all will fall farther down the rabbit hole.

We're all doomed and broke I tell you.... and I wouldn't trade any of it!

Jeffrey, IIRC, didn't you have the S7201 and traded it because it was too much for you and your room? This new (end of year) sub should be a good bit more powerful than the 7201. I'm curious why you would even be interested in it.

By all means, if you want it, get it! It just seems like a waste of time if the 7201 was too much.
