I don't have an estimated arrival yet but I think it will be Monday (I hope). I considered driving up to PSA to pick them up but I couldn't work out the logistics.

Here's a pic Tom sent of the TV36's getting completed in the shop... perhaps numbers 1,2,3 and 4 all lined up and getting worked on.

Nothing eye opening but here they are(if numbers are skipped it's because it is a duplicate). And 9 which I just took a few minutes ago.

Tom: I see a cabinet that looks to be a little smaller than the TV36's with only 1 driver cut out. Is that a new design? Maybe a new single 18inch sub?

Edit: It's the 3rd picture and the cabinet is by a few drivers on the floor. It's also in the 2nd pic.

Equipment List: Benq W6000, Darbee DVP-5000S Video Processor, JKP Affinity 100 inch 16x9 .9 gain reference screen, Marantz SR7013 Receiver, 3-Marantz Ma700 and 2-Ma6100 monoblocks, 7.4.2 Atmos, B&W Nautilus 805 front speakers, B&W Nautilus HTM2 center speaker, 2 Volt 6 Atmos Speakers, Mirage HDT-R side speakers, Jamo THX surround one rear speakers, 2 LaVoce 21inch Neo DIY subs and 2 PSA S3600I'S.

So yes, was just horsing around about receiving dual TV36 Ipals. But, I am really eager to hear what people think about these things. Thing is, I have drivers similar, but probably a bit less capable, than the Ipals. I have two in small sealed cabs...and they pound....best subs I've ever had by a long shot. Im thinking, holy cow I can't imagine porting these things and picking up what, 6-8 dB around tune and truckload more tactile response. Now, double drivers to add another 4-6 dB????? I'm confident these things are going to rock peoples world and be the best subs they've ever had or heard. Exciting stuff. Looking forward to all the lucky folks that have these on the way.

It's not even an issue. I appreciate any concern but there's no need. Everyone is wired differently.

And the team here is incredible. These guys will ASK me..."hey are you working Saturday/Sunday"? I'm like, yup but don't feel like you guys need to all be here. And their response is basically "if YOU'RE here, we're here". Three young men who I'm sure have a million other things they could be doing on a weekend in the summer. I'm very fortunate.

Of course I'm ALSO the guy who will go into my Rocket-Raccoon mode when I'm a *little* busy and they ask me something simple.

I believe you are looking at the CI 15" sub. It's designed for contractors as a shallow version of the V1511, so tall but only 8" deep if memory serves (actually 12"). Passive with external amp if I remember correctly and typically sold as duals. I believe it's a special arrangement with one contractor dealer and is exclusive to them so won't ever appear on the normal website. I may not have all the details right. I can't even find the website where I found it originally.

EDIT: Ratbuddy found it and beat me to it.

We just have to remember context.

Are the Ipals "perfect" for any (commercially viable)sealed alignment? Nah, and it could be argued not even close.

BUT---proper context. Could they be used, with proper engineering, and leveraging logistical expertise to be better than anything else at the same price point?

Maybe, Maybe not.

Oh it's so early in the process I don't even look for gains or reasons why it might work. I look for reasons why it's a non-starter. And then if there's a potential non-starter I have to consider ways around that. Once I get to "most/all of the problems have fixes" then I can start worrying about "gains"..

How do the new drivers sound in a sealed cab? Do you see a possible 2019 release if the new drivers make enough performance difference?

And the team here is incredible. These guys will ASK me..."hey are you working Saturday/Sunday"? I'm like, yup but don't feel like you guys need to all be here. And their response is basically "if YOU'RE here, we're here". Three young men who I'm sure have a million other things they could be doing on a weekend in the summer. I'm very fortunate.

Of course I'm ALSO the guy who will go into my Rocket-Raccoon mode when I'm a *little* busy and they ask me something simple.

Tom, these 3 young men being dedicated like that is a true testament to you being not only a great boss but your character and being a TRUE leader! There is a big difference to being a boss versus a leader.

This is something missing these days and it is a fundamental they do not teach in any college. Just one of the many reasons you are a successful business man.

I will come out and shake your hand and buy you a beer eventually. Maybe if/when you do Ipal upgrade for the 7201's.
