I have GOT to get BEW going. Same goes especially for those with the new TV36 models.

See Aron's BEQ graphs and settings as it drops off at 30hz and then like a rock around 24hz without. I felt a slight rumble once or twice, but overall it was pitiful compared to what it should have been

Quoting @Aron7awo settings from BEQ thread

Finally saw Captain Marvel, I watched it last night with BEQ of course because why waste a viewing. I thought it had the best sound mix of any Marvel movie I’ve watched in recent memory. Some good Atmos effects, good dynamics and great BEQ bass, watched at 0.0 MVGood flick overall.

Black Panther is on deck tonight

No Atmos here, but other than the clipped low end the mix was really good on this one. Good movie as well

I definitely enjoyed it especially after such a long wait. I do not go to the theater ever. We are going through all the Marvel movies preparing for End Games release. Went to pick up Black Panther and my buddy said he would buy me Captain Marvel 4K if we watched it on the spot.

Seemed like a great deal to me so I gladly accepted.

I did not get to spend too much time with the base TV36 this weekend. I did Audyssey calibration with the new sub and stated playing some bass heavy music and the ending scene in Ready Player One.

Played some DJ Magic Mike "Feel the Bass" and loved the experience. The low frequency bass filled the room and started to pressurize the room. It was a rewarding experience to feel more of the music as I was coming from only one S1800. It complimented so well with my front stage that is consist of MT-110 for L/R and MTM-210C. The TV36 just made the music feel so much fuller with more impact.

The final fight scene where the huge explosion comes barreling down on everyone was a real treat. The rumbling of the explosion seems to last forever! The TV36 shined in this scene as everything in the room was moving violently. I never experience this from the S1800. This was what was missing from my movie experience from the S1800. My wife and my boys are also noticing how the sound from the system is now fuller with more impact. They are looking for many movie nights together.

Prior to Tom hinting a release of the TV36, I was considering upgrading to V3611 since I am using my dedicated room for movie watching instead of music. Too bad I could not compare the V3611 to the base TV36 but I am very happy with the new sub. With the pre-order pricing on the TV36, it was a no brainer to grab them instead of the V3611.

Time for me to get acquainted with REW and BEQ to take advantage of the new sub.

Thank you for taking the time to give us a glimpse into how the new TV 36's perform. I very much appreciate your thoughts on your new bundle of joy. I hope to have mine (ipal version) in the next couple of weeks.

Now if we could just get a few more insights from others who have already taken delivery that would be awesome - and you know who you are darling...

Uhh, if you're referring to me, I already gave my thoughts on the subs, not sure what else you're looking for. "Darling?" Really? Wicked creepy, unless you're talking to someone you know well.

Great thoughts though guys all the way around, love what I'm hearing about the TV36's!

Also, congrats Hop, Ratbuddy and anyone else who was able to score a pair or 1 of these babies!

Sorry for that, but no offense intended. I'm a big Saturday Night Live fan (mainly the older ones) and was trying a little humor quoting Billy Crystal's "Fernando" character (for those of you that remember https://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-l...ideaway/n26871). "And you know who you are darling" was just one of his famous lines.

Wasn't targeted at you, but many of us are still awaiting our TV 36's as the process has been slow and we would really like to hear what you guys who have already received them think of them. The waiting is excruciating. Hop did a pretty good job of describing his take on both movies and music and has a lot of us excited. I think you described well how music sounds after you dialed the subs in, but I haven't seen much from you since then regarding your thoughts on HT listening (unless I missed it).

Sorry if I rubbed you the wrong way, as it was not my intent.

Ugh, if it's a Billy Crystal line, no wonder I hated it :P

For my TV36es, I'm just happy with them. Captain Marvel was great (used a few of the BEQ filters for it, but not all so I wouldn't bug the neighbors too much) and gaming is awesome on these things.

Good to see you are happy with them. I'm going from a JTR2400 to the ipal version so I think my impressions may be similar to Hop's. I'll try to do a side by side comparison when the ipal arrives in a few weeks.

Are you doing from duals to duals or single to single? your comparison would be awesome as Hop was going off of memory. You could do measurements and all.

Hi all,

We have the first four TV36neo shipping tomorrow. And then we should have 6-8 more subs ready by the end of the week too.

So I think we'll continue to see an increase in user reports each week.

Going from a single to a single.

I'll apologize in advance in that I am a novice compared to all of you and don't use REW, don't record measurements etc. And yes, I know I could get better results if I did but I just use my trusty Rad Shack SPL meter and YPAO on my Yamaha. I will still be able to give you my impressions though, just no measurements. Maybe something for me to get into down the road...

So one last statement regarding the TV36 iPals. This one really shocked me. Sunday night after watching Aquaman my my wife said to me... "I love your new subs." MY WIFE said that. This is the same woman who a few years ago said all subs were big black boxes that boom.

REW can be intimidating but it’s not bad once yuh get used to it. SPL meter won’t tell us in the forum much. Let me know if you are interested and I can walk you through the basics of REW over the phone or whatever. That is how I learnt too.

I might just take you up on that.

I realize the SPL meter won't tell you guys anything, but it allows me to make sure the 2400 and TV36 are both set to the same sound levels and I can then give you my feedback as to the sound differences as Hop has done. I'm hoping my wife will enjoy it as much as it seems Hop's wife is.

I would prefer you personal impressions to numbers and graphs. I am sure Tom will update his website with some numbers when he gets caught up.
