Currently watching Spiderman Into the Spiderverse and the TV36 is shaking the house like crazy. The movie isn't very good, but the bass is excellent.

Very nice. Yeah that movie was a non-stop bass attack. I watched Jupiter Ascending the other night and that too is a great bass movie for almost constant bass.

Time for some people to go shopping. $825 for a S1800 shipped with a fresh five year warranty? That's a steal.... Actually these are all steals.

No doubt about it, if I was a guy dreaming over one day buying the big 18" subs but didn't have the money... I would be jumping on one of these deals.

I know he was saying summer and probably come to Houston. One of your relatives lives like 10 min from me so it was easy for him to come by house a couple of times.

Looks like my V1811 sold before it got published. The V1801 is still available (which used to belong to @David Charles ).

TV36 iPal Full Review

Now that I have had the single TV36 iPal for almost a week and had more time to get it dialed in, I wanted to post a more thorough review.

Physical - This thing is certainly big but not too difficult to unbox and place in the room. I have it placed on furniture sliders and it glides effortless around the room. It looks almost identical to a pair of V1811 subs stacked on top of each other with just a little added depth. With the grill off, the iPal drivers look very imposing and I prefer the look of the drivers themselves over the standard drivers. Tom did a great job keeping the TV36 as narrow as possible which gives you more placement options than other large subs.

Music - The TV36 iPal excels with music. I have never heard a ported sub that is as clean and tight as this. @Hopinator; described the bass as "high definition" and I agree. The bass hits very hard with zero boominess or ringing. My ears and house gives out long before the sub does and the sub never loses its composure regardless of how much I increase the volume. Somehow, the TV36 has managed to make my main speakers sound better and I find myself listening to music more now than I did before.

Movies - The TV36 is also amazing with movies. The sound signature is a bit different than what I was used to with the V1811 in a good way. The V1811s had plenty of output but the bass was a lot more in your face. The TV36 presents the bass effects with authority and finesse. Instead of being in your face, the bass seems to fill the room and envelope you. The bass is so clean that I am able to run the sub hotter than I have in the past and everything still sounds great. Tactile response is very good, especially considering I am in a concrete bunker (basement) with concrete floors.

Summary - The TV36 iPal is the perfect blend of ULF and Mid Bass efficiency. The distortion is incredibly low and I have yet to hear any bad noises or chuffing regardless of how hard I push the sub. Bass in both music and movies is presented with incredible detail and authority. It's like having a supercar that is comfortable driving around town.

Great review!!! Thanks for taking the time to articulate your thoughts on these new line of subs along with your comparisons to the V1811's.

Since the Cat incident , and trying to adjust things , something just seems off.........I have been messing with all the settings and just cant quite find the sweet spot again , and all I keep doing is just sizing up the area next to my RP280s and try to imagine a certain type of sub right next to them , just a little taller and wider.......I think my body is ready for ported again.........

Maybe, possibly, it could be a TV36 calling out to you... The cats would LOVE a nice tall play toy like that.

You know , someone said a few posts ago that the TV36's "are basically 2 V18s stacked" really got the hamsters turning inside my head...

Thank you PSA! I don’t have insane subs like the rest of you guys but so far I am happy with my S1510s. One day when I have the space like you guys do I will look at those TV36s.

Anyways, my main point was to take a couple shots of the subs and where they are placed but may as well just post what I did in the Triad thread:

As requested here is my completed 5.2.4 setup in my living room. Wiring was all ran under the room and in the ceiling/walls. My goal aesthetically was to keep the room clean and simplistic while keeping the french country furniture theme in order to avoid WAF. I did not have an extra room for a fully dedicated HT setup so I made due with what I had. I am extremely pleased with the final outcome, for now.

Room size: 13.5x15x8

Speakers: Triad Bronze
L/R In Room LCR
Center
2 OnWall Surrounds
4 InCeiling 8/SATs

Gear
65” LG C8
Denon x4500
AC Infinity Fan
Apple TV 4k
Panasonic UB-820 BluRay Player
Furman Elite 15 DM i

Super Clean! I sometimes feel that my space is too cluttered and would love a simplistic layout like yours , but all of our spaces and bass needs are a bit different , and especially WAF needs...BTW , is that Newport beach?
NVM: Saw the San Francisco tag in your profile....I do like the canals as well!

I hear often it looks like NP beach or Florida but I am actually in Foster City, California. Its a man made lagoon in the back yard that leads out into the bay. Thanks fellas.

Nice setup! I have triads with a PSA sub as well. Are those the "frameless grills" on the ceiling speakers? First time ive seen a picture of those.

Thanks! Yes, they’re frameless grills. When I bought them they came stock like that. I only purchased a few months ago. Because the speaker is actually black it does give the grill, even though painted white, a slightly darker grayish hue to it. I think if anyone is super anal about having the grill match a white wall or ceiling perfectly then you should ask Triad to build the speaker as white instead of black.

I actually like it slightly different so I know they are there haha.

How much do they stick down from the ceiling? I have the older grills with the frame and it seems to be more flush with the ceiling. I may be ordering some new ones so I'm curious.

Sorry to derail the thread a little guys! Back on topic, I just ordered one of the outlet S3601s. It will replace an XV15, looking for more of the "sealed" sound and more output.

And so it begins...

This is how the PSA thread works.
Step One: Visit Best Buy and dip your toe into home theater by buying your first 8" name brand subwoofer.

Step Two: You play your new name brand subwoofer... and thrilled with the bass you shout, "This Is Awesome!!!!"

Step Three: Start visiting AVS forum and discover the PSA thread.

Step Four: Read posts about the great PSA subs from all the owners and suddenly the name brand sub sounds weak and pathetic.

Step Five: Buy a PSA 15" sub and when you discover what powerful bass is about you shout, This Is Awesome!!!!"

Step Six Read more posts in the PSA thread and think: "If a 15" sub sounds this great two must sound even better!"

Step Seven: Buy a second PSA 15" sub and a Umik and learn REW and once you get it all set you know you will never want anything else.

Step Eight: Make the mistake off visiting the PSA thread again and read how the 18" subs have more output... Suddenly you need an 18" sub.

Step Nine: Buy your first 18" PSA sub and fall in love all over again.... knowing you will never want anything else.

Step Ten: Decide to go back to the PSA thread...

Rinse and Repeat steps four through ten with subwoofers of ever increasing size and power.

Welcome to the rabbit hole my friends... You gotta love it!

Subwoofers: PSA TV36 iPal X2 ...Speakers: PSA MTM-210T L/R - PSA MTM-210C Center- PSA MT110SR's Surrounds - PSA MT110's Rear - RSL C34E Atmos... Motion Actuators: Crowson Shadow 8 - X2
Video: Samsung UN65KS9000 4K SUHD - Oppo UDP-203... AVR:Denon X4400... Gaming: XBOX ONE S

Fortunately, I don't have the room for anything else besides the two S1801's I already have! So I hang out here to live vicariously through everyone else!

My humble main system:
Vizio M75-E1; Oppo 203 universal UHD player; Marantz 7013 AVR, Dual PSA S1801's; Monitor Audio Silver RX-6 mains, RX center, and RX surrounds; one pair NHT mini Atmos speakers; Home-built HTPC (Xeon E1230, 16gb RAM, Crucial M500 480gb SSD, GeForce 980Ti, Corsair CX600, CoolerMaster mini-ITX case); Roku Premiere+; Amazon 4K Fire TV

I came in here asking questions about the 15" and ended up with an 18" cause of their outlet sale, and I don't even need an 18" in a 1200 cu ft room.
