Option 1: trade those in on 2 v1811 or v1812.
Option 2: keep them and move those either to sides of sofa or right behind it and get 2 v1811 or v1812 for up front thus running 4 subs.
Option 3: keep them and add 2 more v1510df to match (or v1512df?) and place the 2 new beside or behind sofa.

I'd love to get a lot deeper extension but I don't have room to fit a v3611 / TV36 neo up front (standing or on its side) nor probably be able to fit 1 behind sofa as bit too deep for the space. Plus think wife would kill me.
Yeah I agree with Ray (Imureh). If you want to get that deep extension and you can't add a low tuned sub then you'd have to get into the sealed subs and that could be expensive... switching sub types mid stream is usually not cost effective. As Ray notes, laying a TV36 on its side would be a great option... Benzo is doing that with his TV36's.

Having said that, adding more ported subs would give you more headroom thus more mid-bass with less strain. And if you add the Neo versions you would get a different sound signature. I'm not sure I would mix the sound signatures... I would want to hear what that sounds like but the more I think about it I would personally go with either one or the other... the B&C Neo's or the Eminence drivers, choose your poison.
Thanks imureh and Hop. I'm not sure sealed would do it without a lot of cost as my living room is about 8500-9000 cu ft. There is a small chance the least deep cabinet could work on its side but I'd need to hide it with a sofa table and it not stick out so far as is a walkway behind the sofa. If I was able to do that, having one of those and my existing 2 v1510df's would blend ok?

I feel your pain for making your decision. You and I have the same problem for our future subs, having my center sitting on them sideway. My center would be 4" above the back velvet masking, blocking part of the screen. And most say, nice posters I only got one in my Theater, poster that is. An original when the Star Wars was rerelease meant for Theater, with a professional made frame.

Presently looking at other potential locations. And wishing you all the best for your decision, and finding another possible locations.

@newc33 , wonder how that would be from something like your phone, via rca, right into one of your subs?

Amazon now has Hi rez audio streaming now. Even their regular stream is 250(ish) kbps AAC which to me sounds about as good as CD to me.

Anyway, I'm a big Tool fan and the new album is musically spectacular but I found MJK's vocals a little too subdued compared to previous albums. Maybe he can't vocally do the things he used to 13 years ago.

I grew up a few miles from Lasalle/Peru BTW.

Yes! Imagine being surrounded on three sides by nearfield TV42's... even TV commercials would be a shock and awe moment. I can't wait for those TV42's to be released into the wild so we can see in home photos and read some first hand impressions.

Okay, this is happening as I type this so I gotta post it. I'm sitting in my living room and my youngest daughter is watching The Incredibles and I'm amazed at the bass coming from a single sealed S1801. Seriously, it's really rocking the first floor all by itself. Open floor plan, suspended wood floor and a single S1801 and it sounds smooth and powerful... kind of makes me wonder what two could do.

Or what dual S3611’s can do in a theater. I wish we had figured that out before I traded mine.

Just watched Captain Underpants with the lil guy and there was some sweet bass. I really do love these subs.

They are very special subwoofers to me. I had talked with him about making the drive to his place so he could hear them in his room and it never materialized

I told you before if I go back it’s with 21’s

I just spun Brightburn from Redbox tonight with BEQ and the last ten minutes with and without Audyssey was amazing . The whole movie sound wise was quite good. Also top notch PQ (Sony release always top notch) Great use of bass and surrounds and very dynamic. My projector screen was shaking for sure !

For you is it a placement option thing, a sealed subwoofer thing, a deeper extension thing or the thicker sound of the Eminence drivers or do you prefer the Neo's? Would you rather have a S3611 or a S3612? I know you had placement issues and therefore your response has been challenged because of the size of the TV3612's.

For me, I like the sound of the S1801's and it always impresses me but it can't match my TV36 iPals. I just really like the sound signature of these new LT subs with the iPal drivers. Having said that, I like to think I have the best of both worlds between the basement HT with the dual TV36 IPal's and the living room with the S1801.

EDIT: Just saw your post above about if you ever went back it would be for a 21" sub.

No I would 100% have upgraded the drivers. These NEO’s are the real deal. I ran out of headroom with BEQ. It’s not that The Eminence drivers can’t handle it. I just didn’t have enough of them. I love my TV36 ‘s look at the output and extension I get.

Yes, they are large and long term habit. More smaller subwoofers makes placement easier. I think my next step is a BOSS. Having said that if dual opposed 21’ NEO’s became a thing I would certainly be interested. This is all a mute point as I have a little guy on the way. From what I hear kids are $$$

Awesome... congratulations on the upcoming little addition. Yeah, they do seem to cost some money but you won't mind being broke when its for such a happy reason. Kids are no doubt expensive, daycare alone has cost me $60,000 cash money out of pocket so far but it's all good. Ethan(my lil guy) is already a big home theater nut and even knows when a movie is 4k/hdr lol.
He's an official PSA ambassador with his custom t-shirts thanks to Tom, and loves bass
