It would let me position one of my V1811 subs under my screen. Not sure if I would do so, but just trying to figure out all my options.

Hi everybody! I am new to the world of PSA and ordered the V18 Ipal last Monday and I am beyond excited. Coming from a PB12-ISD I have owned for well over 12 years, this should be a bit of an upgrade.

Over the past couple of days I have been reading this massive thread in backwards order and it seems that Tom has seen a huge influx of orders and has been dealing with sourcing of the drivers and deliveries from Italy and whatnot.

Yesterday I gave their number a call just to make sure that my payment and order was OK but that was before I got far enough back to realize how inundated they are with orders, now I feel bad!

Unless I misread it looks like they are gaining ground on the backorders and I do totally appreciate the fact I am likely far back in the line.

Welcome to PSA I am sure you will be happy with your upgrade. Due to the success of PSA Tom has growing pains from time to time. He does consider the reliability of suppliers when he chooses his components but sometimes he does suffer a delay beyond his control as with the latest drivers but the wait is worth it. He has moved amp assembly and the spray booth in house to bring more control over the processes. Sometimes these things take a little while to adjust to but so far he is pulling it off. His goal is a turn around time of a couple of days but I believe it has slipped to two or three weeks again but he will recover. I also *feel bad* about contacting him now because I now how busy he is. Your best option now is email.

Be warned!

I had a PSB-12 NSD.

Started innocent enough, upgraded to a PSA V 1800, then the cards starting faster and faster. Another 18" sub, MTM 210's for the front line, then MT 100's for surround duty, I only wish PSA offered Atoms speakers.

You are going to love that sub, going to take your breath away, literally.

Anything PSA / Tom does, they do very, very well.

Personally I'd take the 2 XS30se's, but that's just my personal preference
I still consider the XS30se's as legends. When I had duals I thought I was done with subs for at least the next 10-15 years. I remember watching TIH 2008 and my body felt like I was in an electric chair with all the low-frequency energy running through my body. Thinking back this just shows you how crazy this hobby is, my 1st PSA sub was the $1150 ( XS30 ) and then a few weeks later it was swapped for the XS30se ( $1200 ), then dual XS30se ( $2400 ) and I thought I was done, fast forward a few years and different combinations of subs and I'm currently at dual S3600's and dual 21inch LaVoce DIY subs and want to add 2 more 21's at a later date. This whole process tells us the rabbit hole is real and not some made-up story. Buy a sub or 2 and run, call your Internet and mobile provider and cancel service or else you will be on AVS and that little guy will be on your shoulder putting all types of thoughts in your head, can't afford it or don't have the placement no worries that little dude will find a way trust me

Equipment List: Benq W6000, Darbee DVP-5000S Video Processor, JKP Affinity 100 inch 16x9 .9 gain reference screen, Marantz SR7013 Receiver, 3-Marantz Ma700 and 2-Ma6100 monoblocks, 7.4.2 Atmos, B&W Nautilus 805 front speakers, B&W Nautilus HTM2 center speaker, 2 Volt 6 Atmos Speakers, Mirage HDT-R side speakers, Jamo THX surround one rear speakers, 2 LaVoce 21inch Neo DIY subs and 2 PSA S3600I'S.

Mike speaks the TRUTH!!!

What started off as a simple $800 subwoofer purchase six years ago has led to a full array of PSA speakers and multiple subwoofer upgrades culminating in my dual TV36 iPals. I guess all our stories are a testament to just how much we love PSA audio (and how addictive it is). I couldn't be happier with my set up... but WOW!!! When this started six years ago I never imagined just how deep this rabbit was.

Subwoofers: PSA TV36 iPal X2 ...Speakers: PSA MTM-210T L/R - PSA MTM-210C Center- PSA MT110SR's Surrounds - RSL C34E Atmos... Motion Actuators: Crowson Shadow 8 - X2
Video: Samsung UN65KS9000 4K SUHD - Oppo UDP-203... AVR:Denon X4400... Gaming: XBOX ONE S

I'm super happy with my dual s3601's and once I get my mini dsp with BEQ up and running I'm sure I'll be even happier!
But my yearly bonus check is right around the corner... IPals, neos, diy 21's..all in my head!
Thanks to PSA, I've been putting off my bathroom remodels for over three years now lol

Did I ever mention the time when I spent my Christmas bonus on my 2nd XS30se and the very next day my wife ask me what did you do with the money? Think fast, Mike!!!! Oh, I didn't tell you? I used it to pay off my pay pal account so that's 1 less bill we will have . What's even funnier is as I was typing this she came downstair and I hurried up and opened another tab . This hobby is going to kill me 1 way or another .

That's hilarious. My wife has actually gotten to the point where she doesn't even want to know. I think she's given up. But I'm not taking a chance, I'm not buying anything for a while. And this time I really mean it!

Yep, when I was building the cabs for the twin 21's my Wife ask me what's that smell ( MDF )? I said it's wood I'm building more subs and then she asked the wife type of question, why? So I replied with I like to build subwoofer cabinets and then she walked away . I have been in the process of getting screen samples as the plan for next year is a 130inch acoustical screen which would then allow me to stack multiple 21's on top of each other behind the screen and you can thank him for this idea.

Thank you both!

It wasn't until just last night that I saw the posts about the influx of orders and backlog, including them working 7 days a week and I was like "oh no, I probably should just hold tight and wait in line!". Also mad respect to him and his team, I know all to well what it is like to have 7 days work weeks over a long span of time.

Obviously I am beyond excited but for now, my LCR channels have active (and just OK subs even if they don't go that deep), then I have my ISD and some bass shakers, it will hold me over. It is just I moved into a much larger place last month and was like, "yeahhhh... this is not going to cut it".

In the interim, I shall live vicariously through you all.

I have dual v1811s on concrete floor. They are great for midbass but for ulf I have recently installed the boss platform (recommended to me by someone in this thread). I recommend it to further enhance your psa subwoofers in the low frequency area - especially if on concrete or in a big open room. It is the absolute perfect compliment with a psa mid-bass monster like the v1811s.

Sounds like a dual TV36ipal road trip is in order :P

This little goober just needs more space in the living room, she's in charge now and the big subs have to go.

We've been doing a lot of baby sitting (Our Grandchildren) lately.

The 9 year old destroyed both cartridges (I don't know what else) for my turntable (nothing special turntable)

So the grandchild became the "enabler", went out and got me a new = NICE turntable.

Thought I was so slick, brought it home, set it up, said nothing, thought I was home free "she'll never know"

Well it turns out num-num (me), used the wrong card (used our joint checking account).......

"Why did you spend all this money?"

I fussed up immediately, my wife "Good for you! You never spend money on yourself"

Like I've said before, I married the right girl.

+1 for the BOSS platform

I built and deployed my first one with 4 of the Best Buy black Friday $29 12" woofers last weekend.

I had previously installed four Dayton bass shakers under my steel framed couch while chasing TR and was very underwhelmed with what I got.

I will say that my BOSS mini-riser platform significantly increased the TR and most importantly does it very naturally. I found the cheap Dayton bass shakers to be distracting an very unnatural feeling.

At under $200 total I encourage everyone to try one out even if you have very large subs already. I reused my Dayton audio bass shaker amp to power all 4 woofers and some folks have also used old AVRs they have laying around. 50W-80W per woofer is all the power that is needed.

First... let me say congratulations.

Second... I remember those days and a new baby (especially the first one) will be there biggest life changing moment in your life. One minute you're not a father and the next minute you are and everything changes. Home audio is a great hobby but it's nothing compared to doing what's best for your family. Down the road you'll be able to bring big subs back into the picture when it works well for you and your family. Until then, enjoy these days.

They're here and they're heavy. I got them into the garage and they are not moving until we move into our new house(where the home theater will be).

So ya, 1st post... I was a member way back but didnt post much. For the past year, I've been lurking in the shadows of this thread to the extent that you may all want to file restraining orders.. Anyway I just wanted to say that between a couple reviews, Tom's rep, and all the enthusiasm in this thread. I pulled the trigger on a full PSA 7.2 setup around a couple months back. It should be arriving very soon. I will be upgrading from Ascend 340/170's and a PB Ultra. Which I've enjoyed for the most part since something like 05... So gotta couple questions that probably belong in another forum. But you guys sound knowledgable so I'd rather try to get em answered here. Okay so I ordered 3 mtm 210 towers for the front stage. Which means I have committed myself to tracking down the right (most likely 2:35) AT screen. Any recommendation their would be appreciated though that is not my main question. I have a very
steep sloping ceiling so attaching the screen to the ceiling itself probably won't work. Now I dont know what its called, but I've seen where people use the hinges (or whatever) and they have the flip up,fixed screen. So I'm thinking if I run a beam near to the ceiling, I'm hoping I could then just mount the screen on that, with that (hinge flip thing?) Really hoping at least a couple of you are still following me. So I'm mainly wondering if (A) Anyone has a reccomended attachment like the one I tried to explain? And (B) If this upper beam was the only thing the screen was attached too, would the screen be visibly shaking and vibrating from the bass? Im trying to avoid building a wall, plus I would like to be able to have a tv behind the screen. So this has probably been a bit long winded for a 1st time poster, so I apologize on that front. For now, my only other question I'll keep short.
Is there a going consensus on how high your ceiling/atmos speakers should be? I thought I'd heard 8" but I've also heard the higher the better. I plan to run a couple beams across the ceiling with the speakers recessed within. So i could get them at least 12 maybe 14" up. Any thoughts would be vastly appreciated. I'm pretty busy lately, so it may take me some time to get back to any questions. Other than that, the ordering process went just as good as you've all claimed. And I am very much looking forward to checking this out.. ya know, once I get done thoroughly throwing my back out...

Has Tom commented on why the new sealed 18"-ers--both single and dual drivers--don't have an IPAL option like the ported subs? The next sub upgrade I make would likely be the last one for a very, very, very long time, so if I'm gonna do it I'd rather not wonder "what if", ya know?

The S18 Ipal is up. There's an S3612 neo(non ipal) dual opposed available now too.

I'm not seeing an S18 IPAL on their sealed subs page--only an S1812 with Neo driver:
https://www.powersoundaudio.com/pages/sealed-subwoofers

Am I just completely blind today? It's been known to happen to me before

Anybody know if an S36 IPAL is coming?

Some of the listings don’t show when you browse only sealed subs. I’m considering trading my V1801’s for a pair of these in my much smaller media room that’ll be done next spring.
