B&C doesn't offer IPAL in a 15".

You can get the IPAL upgrade for the S3612, just have to email Tom for it.

You didn't miss it...When the website was updated for the new subs, the s3612Ipal option was not added by mistake. We were just talking about it the other day, but this page moves fast so it's easy to miss stuff. The website still needs fixed to reflect it because it does not show up if you go to PSA website direct. Can only be found through that link above.

I think the biggest number that needs to be seen besides DataBass is , How many of the new subs are sitting in B-stock at the moment??? I mean I havent seen Tom put anything up saying he has 2 TV3612's sitting in the Outlet right now. Think about that , about how many of these subs have been sent out and not even 1 angry wife has told said dude "that thing is HUGE and hideous and really clashes with our open concept wallpaper!! SEND THAT BACK IMMEDIATELY!!" ...... I mean maybe there has been a TV36 sent back or a S18Ipal , Im not totally sure....

HEY GUYS, I'm thinking of selling my Oppo 203 but have no idea what to ask for it, I don't want to take advantage of anyone with the ridiculous prices folks are asking for them $1500-2000. I haven't used it in a long time except to update the FW when needed, I'd say there's less than 50 hours on it, used only for movies. I've already sold my V3611s, model 5000 amp and a Denon 4400 AVR. I do a lot of streaming which the 203 doesn't do so would be replacing it with something very less expensive.

I'm running my speakers which I still have left full range and it's not too bad, not what I'm used to but works for me now, thanks my friends......

This thread moves at warp speed. Which is pretty cool and partly what makes it the best thread on AVS IMO... but it sure is hard to keep up with.

My question is why? What is it about this thread that makes it so popular and move so fast? Don't get me wrong I love the fact that it is but what's its secret sauce?

Subwoofers: PSA TV36 iPal X2 ...Speakers: PSA MTM-210T L/R - PSA MTM-210C Center- PSA MT110SR's Surrounds - RSL C34E Atmos... Motion Actuators: Crowson Shadow 8 - X2

That's the secret, there is no sauce just interesting testimonials, fantastic products with top notch customer service and no HIDDEN agenda, Tom does his best to keep us informed and updated on current production and back orders, if he could only find time to put some numbers up on the site I think that would help a lot, not that he needs any help. Like I said previously Jim Farina is back and I'm sure it won't be long before shipping will be like it used to be.................

@drh3b I think you're quote about the 203 was removed for maybe talking price but I got your reply via email, and yes you're right I took a substantial loss selling all of my other gear, that's why none of my listings lasted longer than a couple of weeks. I know the guy that bought my 5000 resold it at a profit, amazing. Thanks.

I didn’t know Jim was back... I thought he had a sweet highfalutin gig going on...

I just want a compression chart, and I half ass don’t need that.

I have no reason the new subs won’t be great.

Jim's not back at PSA but he is back in the game in a sense because he bought out and now owns the cabinet shop that is making the cabinets for PSA.

I think he's associated with the outfit making cabinets for PSA, so you know he knows what's needed!

Imho, most of the PSA owners seem like hard working down to earth folks that don't get too caught up in all the other drama and bs that comes around. They appreciate a good well rounded product, with great customer service, and like to support US based companies when they can. They value their dollar and want a product that maximizes they're investment from a value and performance pov. They feel that there is more to a sub then max burst 10hz output and want a product that delivers on all metrics. I believe this thread draws more attention and more people can relate here because if this.

This thread is as active as it is because the OWNER of the company is part of it. You don’t get that sort of feedback from any other company, plain and simple.

To be fair to both sides, most brands are not owned by one person at this point but for those that are, Tom is a very active and responsive owner, both on the thread and in real life. He obviously cares a great deal about his products and his customers.

Are you saying Tom disparaged his competitors? Pointing out differences in how a business interprets being made in the USA isn't disparagement. It is just voicing his own opinion. Honestly most people with money to spend on luxury items could care less how the CEO or owner sticks his foot in his mouth. They literally care about the product. They pay attention to value not rhetoric, whether they agree or disagree with the rhetoric is immaterial to their purchasing decision. Hence all the Tesla's being sold even with that loose cannon at the helm. Not sure what "things" you are referring to that people "pay attention" to on these forums.

Sure seems like with your comments above you were saying Tom disparaged his competitors. I was just trying to get you to expound on your insinuation. Glad you now have decided to take the high road. Very magnanimous of you. I assume Tom's comments didn't discourage you from buying one of these amazing subwoofers. Which model are you most interested in for your theater?

Anyway, Let's look at this chain of events.

1)Power Sound posts a big warning on our website

"HEY YOU! Tired of horrendously inefficient, SLOW, antiqued non DSP amplification that renders your subwoofers obsolete"? You don't have to worry about THAT here because we have our own proprietary DSP frontend!

2)In EVERY SINGLE subwoofer suggestion thread on AVS the same 3 guys who own powersound products spam everyone parroting that marketing BS. "Oh you CANNOT buy THAT brand they don't even have DSP!"

Now if a representative chimes in at SOME point with reasons why they disagree with this.....they are "disparaging" Power Sound now?

That's BS and you know it. You would be the FIRST to email that other company and tell them to response in each of those threads.

When your pet brand puts out BS like that product will be "horrendously inefficient", "Slow", "muddy", etc, etc, etc aimed at their direct competitors than don't whine about it when one of those competitors disagrees. It is a RESPONSE.

Now please, if all you have to contribute here is what a bad guy I am for RESPONDING to BS claims then please...just go start your own thread. "Tom is a big meanie, my emperor DOES have shiny clothes!"

I'm sure you'll have a huge turnout ready to drag me to the nearest dogwood..

Tom V.
Team Power.
I am not following most of what you wrote above. Someone posted that no other brands owners comment in their threads, I stated that wasn't true. I have also read posts in the past where you have directly attacked competitors technology. I was just stating that I have never read any of them do that, not saying they haven't, I just have never seen it.

Who am I cheerleading for? I own subs from 2 different manufacturers (in my signature even) so how am I a cheerleader? I read most subwoofers threads because I am an enthusiast. You have stated in the past that you don't need to sell more subwoofers so my business won't be missed. I honestly want nothing to do with this thread, or to argue with anyone. Enjoy your subs everyone, we are all looking for the same thing, audio bliss.

Certain people just seem to have a difficult time unless others are sad. This thread is on topic, drama free, and wildly popular---the most popular thread on this entire avs section. UH OH...we can't have that! Let me pop in and offer nothing but personal jabs on tom....THAT will get them all stirred up! It's almost like clockwork anymore.

I already deleted that because I realized I just took your bait.

But for wanting "nothing to do with this thread" popping in to post nothing but personal jabs at me seems odd.

It's always the same MO. This thread is going 100% drama free, everyone helping everyone else, and then it's always the same. One particular brand owner's feel the need to pop in with the typical BS.

Whoville will abide.

For someone who wants nothing to do with this thread you certainly have come in and upset the apple cart. At least now you have spoken on why you feel you can't buy a PSA subwoofer: Tom spoke up for his brand and in doing so you feel he spoke negatively about a competitor. Most companies don't always speak glowingly about the competition. You are of a different opinion. You take the LeBron James approach to competition: go on a Banana Boat ride. That's fine. To each his own. I prefer the Kobe approach: when your competition is soft you call them soft. I hope you enjoy your subwoofers. Rythmik and JTR make some really good subwoofers. PSA makes great subwoofers.

I'm 100% sure we have lost sales because of who I am. That's fine. I'm not going to pretend to be someone I'm not just to convince anyone to buy anything. At the same time, here's what I'm dealing with right now in terms of "demand". Pretty much EVERYTHING is going crazy. But let's limit this to the TV3612/TV36ipal since that's been on topic lately.

* Those have been sold out for weeks now.
* The ENTIRE production run of cabinets I am getting next week(go Jim!) is SOLD OUT.
* I ALREADY have orders that put the NEXT production run at about 50% SOLD OUT. This is a production run I haven't even scheduled yet! This will be 100% sold WAY before we get them. It's literally impossible for me to keep these in stock from the first day we began taking pre orders.

So yeah. I'm not the most likable guy. Never have been, never will be. BUT---there seems to be a large percentage of people who respect that I'm NOT going to play the two faced PC game to make a sale or try to be mr. popularity.

And for anyone who infers "well, If I can't take pot shots at tom--- I'm not posting here anymore!"

I erased the part that was unwarranted. I will say this, Tom sure is spicy. This is just a small hobby for me but for him its his passion and livelihood and he is darn good at what he does. I have absolutely no problem at all with his products, I am not saying any product is better than the other. I apologize for derailing this thread. This is silly.
