Most AVRs with 2 sub outs are taking the subwoofer signal and splitting it internally anyway (no real difference than splitting it externally with a splitter). And lot's of people use a splitter on one of those sub outs (if they have 3 subs) or both sub outs (if they have 4 subs). So to me all you are doing is splitting the sub signal an extra time externally. I would think that would work. But I'm no expert in theses matters so I'm sure I'm missing something.

If I were you I would contact Tom and see what he thinks.

(Nice set up of subs and speakers by the way).
Thanks! It took me about a year to finally purchase everything. I see those naughty posts on the PSA Speaker thread about cash back. I'm a cash man haha But I think you're right, a chat with Tom/Jim might help me understand this situation a little bit more.

Always wondered about getting the mixed subs working together. I have 3 ported subs, and keep thinking about a sealed, now that I moved into a room that I can close both doors. Now with the S3000i on, are the V3600s in auto or are they in the on position? Just thinking out loud, but worth seeing what position your switches are in with your subs.
When the amps are fully discharged, setting the V3600i's to auto with the S3000i off, the V3600i will not even "wake up" from a signal. Turning the switches to on forces the amps to charge, but no sound. Tits up. Everything works normally if the S3000i is on.

I was playing around with it some more this evening, and leaving all three subs on "auto" seemed to work like normal. They all turned on about the same time.

I tried cranking up the sensitivity gain on the subwoofers, and turning the trim level to 10 dB. That should be enough to at least make the V3600i's work. So again I want to clarify it's not that the subwoofers don't work. All three work when all three amps are turned on or set to auto. The weird part is that the V3600i's don't work at all if the S3000i's amp is set to "off." I agree Tom/Jim would be helpful here.

@SeriouslyBass ,
That is what I do. I have two VX15SEs on a splitter and the V3600 by itself. I leave them all three on Auto, as that works for me, in my setup.

So true, and if I had the time I would jump in the car tonight and head south. It wouldn't be my first road trip to buy a PSA sub (considering I drove up to Ohio to visit PSA headquarters and pick up my first V3600). Sadly, I just can't make the trip.

I'm within a couple hours drive from that guy most likely. Just across the state. If this had been say a month or two ago before I got my 15v I would have jumped on it. Someone will get a deal though.

Can't do it. I spent what I set aside for this most recent upgrade. Between the new LCR set, the 15v, an anti-mode, the k8500 UHD Player, atmos speakers, and a bunch of UHD movies. I'm tapped out for now on AV stuff.

I know that feeling, actually I still have it.

All told I bought 8 speakers and 2 (big) subwoofers from PSA last year. Worth every penny but it has left me tapped out. Which stinks because I'm really craving the feeling of having a PSA box delivered to my doorstep. And I still need 2 more 110sr's to complete my speaker set up but I need to wait a bit longer.

Make that three of us...buying my two v3600's made me put buying a new pre/pro, an hd fury, and the Sammy UHD player on the back burner until early 2017. But my Hekyll and Jekyll twins are so impressive that I wholeheartedly feel that the subwoofage upgrade was the right move. I watched the movie Goosebumps on Saturday and it was tons of fun (great atmos mix as well).

Just ordered my PSA V1500 sub to replace my Paradigm SW2200 with the blown amp. Will report back when it is set-up and tested. They extended my trial from 30 to 60 days so they must be confident their product is excellent.

considering it will only take you about 10 minutes to realize they aren't going back.....i'd say 30 days is overkill.

This is the most accurate statement.

Five minutes later and I was debating how to rearrange my furniture to accommodate more.

I am saving up to replace my 2200 as well. It's not blown and has been a great sub but I have had it about 14 years so it's time to upgrade it. It's the oldest peice in my whole system. Be great to hear what you think the differences are. I am trying for the V1800 but was originally looking at the v1500.

I ordered two to replace two mighty capable subs and they "ain't" going nowhere. My plan is to write up a full review soon of what I replaced so I won't spoil that, but needless to say I am more than happy with a pair of V1500's. Was looking at a pair of V1800's but Tom said the 15's would be plenty for my room. Boy was he right. Movies are on another level now - and music still sounds fantastic. Probably the best of both worlds subs I've owned - and I've had many!

Finally figured out how and were to place my 3 subs. What a job. 2 upfront (3600 and PB13) and one in back (PC13). No changing were they are at, got a MiniDsp on the way. Hopefully between Audyssey XT32 and MIniDsp I can get them dialed in.

I can't speak to your old subwoofer or the performance of the V1500, but the V1800 doesn't mess around. It crushed the newest SVS PC-12+ performance in my 5k^3ft living space, and for nearly the same price! I've got a second V1800 coming in a few weeks to finish out my system for a good while, and honestly I probably don't "need" it...but why else would these forums exist if not to tempt our sanity (and our spouses) To those of you with dual V3600i, I bet that's a truly breathtaking experience.

Without hearing the V1500, I would still get the V1800. For only 15% more money, you're essentially getting roughly 50% more output/headroom across the vast majority of the frequency response. I believe that's one reason why the PSA description says its's perhaps the best value of any subwoofer they sell, and I'd be lying if I said it didn't help make parting with $200 more that much easier. Aesthetically, I also love it, and its dimensions are extremely similar to the V1500. The massive slot port displays an aggressive styling that is fitting of an 18" behemoth, yet it comes in a relatively compact enclosure for a ported sub. I know we have to set budgets, but a couple years ago my original budget for a good sub was around $5-800. That led me to try out several subs, and I eventually spent $1200 on the PC-12+ that I still have, which cost 50% more than the PB-2000 I demoed before it. With a little more research, I could have gotten a lot more sub for the money, but it did lead me here eventually So if you can stretch your budget just a tad further, I'd say get the V1800 all day long!

I will keep you posted. If you want to sell the amp out of your PW2200 let me know. Since my HT was design built and not just a spare room I am thinking the V1500 will do just fine. The room is only about 14 x 18 x 8 and is acoustically sound.

Not sure how big your room is or what your output levels are, but you would be better served to sell those SVS and put the funds toward another 3600. Until then, your output is going to be limited to the SVS subs.

Agreed...it takes 2 pb/pc13 ultras to equal a V3600i through most of the bandwidth. I would say ideally you want the 13's on the same side of the room 1/4 wave length from each other. The way he has it now is essentially going to limit the system to the capability and the true potential of the V3600 will not be reached.

Goods points. Don't limit your V3600… it'd be like driving the speed limit in a Ferrari.

Can't I dial back the SVS subs so they don't try and keep up with the 3600?
