Looking to utilize subwoofer with laptop

I am new to the site and this is my first time posting a thread. I recently removed my audio system from a car I was selling and I have a perfectly working subwoofer and amp combo. I am looking to put this to use as some sort of computer speaker system if at all possible. I have a 12" Kicker subwoofer with the amp that goes along with it. Is it at all possible to connect the subwoofer to speakers and a power source and connect to my computer via an Aux cord. As you can tell, I am a complete rookie in regards to what I would need to do in order for that to happen, if at all possible. Any help you guys could give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Read about the cons of using car subs in home, that should be the start. Also, read on the problems associated with using car amps at home voltage.

History is written by those who have hanged heroes ...

Main System: PSB X2T, PSB XC, PSB XB, Cambridge Audio Azur 751R, Rythmik FV15HP, PSB S500
