If you're a demo disc aficionado, i suggest getting a 50GB BDRE. Actually if you want to do any BR burning, i would get one or a couple. With it you can test burn, and avoid $5 coasters. And with demo discs, if theres a new one just erase the old one and you are good to go.

See post #213.
Download VCD, which creates a virtual drive on your pc. Mount the ISO with that, then play with your chosen media player.

Or extract the m2ts files from the STREAM folder.

Did you really need to quote that entire post in your reply?

And for those non technical folks - Extract just means copy the m2ts files from the STREAM folder to a different folder.

I'm having trouble getting any sound levels at all on the Atmos clips.

I'm using VLC and even just on the computer there are no sound levels on Mad Max, Jupiter Ascending, Sicario, John Wick, Terminator, MI, Insurgent. Just looked at the 3rd post and realized they were all in red.

The others work great and are impressive.

Any settings I need to change to hear those?

Thanks for making this.

Those are all of the Atmos/TrueHD clips. There might be something with your codecs. Have you tried a different player, MPC-HC?

Does plex or kodi support:

1. Playing the iso's or do you have to extract the files?

2. Streaming the True HD content from a server to htpc connected to your avr (ie. files not local to the htpc) or do the files need to be on the htpc that is connected to the avr in order for say Atmos to work?

I've seen comments stating that kodi supports ISOs, but i cant verify this. I may need to download kodi to try it out

I would assume that streaming would not affect Atmos decoding. I do not have Atmos yet, so I cant confirm it.

Kodi will play the ISO directly. You can select each title to play, or go through the disc menu. The files do not need to be local; however to avoid streaming issues with this being such a large file I would recommend playing locally.

Thanks for this. I have to admit, I haven't seen most of the movies on the list. Hollywood seems to be setting the bar ever higher in making movies louder and bassier. I said "holy moly!" at times.

Yes they are, 2016 is looking better and better with each release.
@Jindrak is doing a disc that has clips from 2016.

Only thing is, now that I've watched each clip dozens of times through ripping them and testing they are old to me. I've been desensitized. But it took me a while to remember how to get to that deleted scene. But I was determined, wouldn't have been complete without it.

I will start a 2016 thread soon. To try and keep track of possible ideas for scenes.

Did you ever figure out why you couldn't get certain movies (like San Andreas) onto your demo disc?

No idea, other Atmos tracks worked fine. When i would play the clip individually, it was fine. After a disc was created the audio would get down rezzed to DD 5.1 640 bit. Probably would have shook the room, but didnt want that turd to stain the rest of the files.
Dragon Blade didn't work because the frame rate was a non standard 24. I tried different ways to change it to the 23.967 that all the other clips are, but no dice. If I spent enough time trying to get it together i possible could have figured it out. But diminishing returns and all that.

I made two DL coasters trying to burn this. Any help would be appreciated.

Using an LG BD burner/rewriter with Verbatim disks running Win10.

Great idea but that wouldn't guarantee a good burn or compatibility with my OPPO player.

I'll give it a shot but at this point I'm thinking a large capacity thumbdrive would be a better solution.

I would use the thumb drive, since you have the Oppo.

Sorry 2 discs have failed. I know that blows, especially with the 50GB discs.
Regarding the discs, make sure "verify" is unchecked. The Pixels scene will cause the verify to fail. And like @LastButNotLeast stated, get a BDRE or a couple. Especially when there are different demo discs you may want to try. And you can use it to test any BR before actually burning, so you can avoid costly toasters.
