This is shaping up to be a good disc. I guess due to size p2p is the only real way to share stuff like this?

I completed a test disc last night, it came in around 33 GB. That is with the scenes I have listed.
So I still need to add scenes from:
T:G
JA
Pan
Poltergeist
Tomorrowland
Heist
Interstellar
The Deleted scene from JW
And @Fatshaft favorite Dragon Blade.

After adding these, it might put the total over the limit.

Was able to add 7 scenes from JA. I'm really not understanding the hate people have for this movie. I thought it was pretty entertaining. The villain trying to sound like Voldemort notwithstanding. Will be interesting figuring out which scenes to cut when they are all pretty awesome. Might have to cut down on the Fantastic 4 scene. Right now I have the whole end scene, about 14 min long. Can possibly cut it a little.
The sky chase scene in particular is one I envision people replaying multiple times. Is very similar to the "Can you fly" scene from Cowboys and Aliens. Lots of bass and surround activity.

I also changed the Lucy opening to the menu audio. The accompanying video didn't seem worth the space.

I have about 6 more movies to add scenes from. After I have all the scenes, then have to see if they will fit the disc. If not, then have to determine which ones to keep and which to cut. I'm calling this now, when I'm finished and the disc is out somebody is going to say "you should have included x instead of y." Or "x scene should have been longer/shorter."

IF YOU HAVE SUGGESTIONS , PLEASE SHARE BEFORE I FINISH THE DISC. I will go back and add timestamps for all of the scenes.

Then the testing will begin. I'm pretty sure I will keep it in ISO since that will preserve the structure and be the easiest for people to work with.

I'm not sure if there is enough bass to qualify, but I love the opening Disney castle scene from Tomorrowland. It might make a good opening for the disc.

Nothing from Terminator Genisys? That's my favorite bass movie from 2015. Tons of good, varied bass throughout the movie.

My personal feeling is that that is too long. You don't want people getting involved in the plot or the characters, you just want to rattle the windows.
Just pick the best of the best and go with that.
Don't forget to leave room for "overhead" on the disc.

I also vote that T:G needs to be included. At least something. It was at the top of my LFE favorite. I've never had such tactile bass (in reference to the bridge scene) before.

If anything, I would completely take out that Fantastic Four scene or whatever. I thought the movie was absolutely boring. It might have had decent LFE, but the movie just killed the experience for me.

Lightbulb

you might consider just using a single clip from each movie...
On the scubasteve disk - I sometimes pick the wrong clip for Star Trek for instance because I can't remember which clip is under which heading.

I also agree with shorter clips as a general rule. If you want the longer clip you'll just pop in the movie. This just gives you a taste of the best parts from each movie. 14 minutes is way too long for a demo clip IMO.

I also agree with exclusively using demo clips with no cursing. These demo disks are good to showcase to mixed audiences and you don't want to have to remember which clips are appropriate in mixed company.

Of course this is your disk and you can do anything you like with it.

I understand just wanting to rattle the Windows, but when I use demo scenes I like to have the context of the scene.

It's possible that only one scene will be included per movie, but I will worry about whittling down the list after I have all of the good scenes cut and ready. But I'm thinking a couple of the big hitters will have multiple scenes included.

Will look to see how I can cut that F4 scene.

selfishly I like the 25GB demo disks too...

Here's why. I'm the guy in our local group of friends with the bluray writer --- so I usually burn them for my buddies in the KC area. 25GB BluRay writable disks cost about $1-2 each. 50GB BluRay disks cost about $4-$5 each. Typically you can still get a LOT of content on a 25GB demo disk.

If I'm making a half dozen + disks it's cheaper to make them and I don't worry about re-imbursement. With the 50GB disks I am basically giving each person $5 bucks for every demo disk that comes out (or asking for $5 which always seems trivial per person - but it adds up collectively - )

In the end - I'm not too proud to tell my friends they owe me $5 per disk - and if this is a 50GB disk I can do what I need to do.

What software are you using to author the menus? That's the hard part!

Personally I'd like to see a 50GB disc. But that's just me. Any chance this disc can be put up on usenet (newsgroups)? If you know how to do it its just easier and much faster to download compared to P2P.
BTW - Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to make this!
