I’m watching Stranger Things via the Netflix app on my Samsung KS8000 4k tv. It was a popular 2016 model and generally everything looks great whether true 4k or just 1080p upscaled by the tv. Which was why I’ve been hesitant to upgrade to Netflix premium until now. The beginning of episode 2 looked good in HDR... One thing that’s driving me nuts is color temperature randomly changing. It’s really noticeable on skin tones in dimly lit scenes. Faces will go from a warm color to blueish hue then back. Not subtle, like going from 5500k to 3500k. Dunno if it’s Netflix, my app version of Netflix, the tv, or what.
edit - after watching Ozark, Longmire, Marco Polo, OA, other 4k/hdr Netflix titles, it’s only Stranger Things Season 2 that has the color glitch. Basically every 30 seconds it goes from being warm & saturated color to cold & flat. Super annoying.
Bass so far in Stranger Things 2 has been excellent to keep the thread on topic.
