I know 'The Greatest Showman" has already been talked about a while back, but just wanted to say, the bass in that thing is pretty great I thought and hits hard. Felt like some real nice low stuff too. My wife and i had the house to our selves for a bit this weekend so we watched it at a pretty decent MV. Watched the Atmos 4 k version and was quite impressed. We've seen it before in the theaters but wife wanted to watch it the HT. We love this movie and soundtrack and i'm sure we'll watch it many times over the years.
So as some of you may know, I'm a complete TR junkie
But my wife doesn't like the extreme levels that i do, so i left the BK's and MA's off this time. I run VNF 18s behind me to go with the farfield 18s, but I gotta say, I think I underestimated what a suspended floor is capable of with a good bass movie LOL. We watched at -12.5MV (which is pretty loud in my 13x13 room), and I just couldn't believe how much TR there was. I'd almost be afraid to crank it up much louder for fear that we might fall through the floor into the garage that the HT is over LOL. Especially with the foot stomps on the bleachers at the beginning of the movie and on the menu page (same song plays). The floor and seating were going completely nuts lol
I think my wife is tired of hearing me say, "Can you believe we got that much shake with no buttkickers"
LOL. I may have to re evaluate if I even need the damn things anymore LOL. It felt just about right. I think we let the the main menu page play for about 5 minutes with that bleacher stomp song playing after the movie was over. I don't think I could ever get tired of that massive TR and bass hit that it brings again and again. Now my wife, said enough already after a while LOL
Anyway, just thought Id share my little story with you fellow bass heads
. Y'all may appreciate it more than my wife did hahaha
