Ugh!!!! All this talk has me chomping at the bit but the damn neighbors have been home for days so a no go other than the opening scene of CP at -14mv the other day, and it was nuts. As mentioned^, i have no idea how some are playing mv well into the single digits on this one. I would have to have zero trim boost to even consider this.

2019 is starting really well and some good potential on the horizon.

That opening scene tripped up my front two PB13s for a brief second (my dual 18 and rear PB13 was fine). I watch all first run movies at -1 and that is the first time that has ever happened and I've been running these subs for many years now. That scene had me truly shocked!

I think most (maybe not bassthatHz lol) who has any post calibration sub boost/trim playing in the single digits will be engaging their subs limiter. Very hot potent bass and i haven't even gone past the opening credits so i'm sure there is plenty more. I cant wait to get caught up on some movies.

Of coarse those that have multiple/several subs will have more headroom to deal with it.

When i watched last night with the subs at -2 it was sheer insanity. So much fun but idk if my ears could take much more for that long. I know the t18s haf more left in the tank but my ears were close to throwing in the towel

You are the exception having 12X18"s in a sealed 1600^3. Clearly loads of headroom to spare. Can't remember Toe's room size but if not to large same with him with five subs. If i'm remembering correctly the bass is around -10db on the graph which is like 5DB's hotter than many other bass fest movies we rave about so clearly aggressive! If there isn't to much clipping in the recording been that hot that will help save our equipment and ears.

Now for today i have the meg, venom and bohemian rhapsody to watch all which iv never seen before. I know the meg is a bass fest but what about venom and BR? I know BR wont be a bass fest but im hoping it still produces quality LFE that is somewhat powerful

I watched Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) and the 20 mins LIVE AID performance on the UHD extras again but with family and OMG!! what and incredible experience. This is my second to me watching the movie and 2 1/2 watching the Live Aid performance and I still get massive chills like it's my first time watching it!! No BS it's a powerful and moving experience especially if you have ever seen the real LIVE AID performance by Queen, you will swear it's what you are watching. My family and i was singing along because it's an experience that will push you to with it's energy!this is must own film. O and the UHD looks fantastic, damn. one of the few movies that were a truly experience to watch.

✔️ Powerful and well mixed Atmos track
✔️ Great UHD Quality
✔️ 20 mins UHD LIVE AID

Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) UHD

Bohemian Rhapsody (2018) Was absolutely fantastic!
The UHD looks incredible and the Atmos track is killer especially
after a +6 dB bump on the sub. The Live Aid Scene (Which was done in ONE TAKE)
and it's full 20 mins Bonus of the full Live Aid performance
was absolutely fantastic with it's energy, cinematography and soundtrack.

The setup was previously in my living room, which is much larger (maybe 4x?) and that only had 1 buttkicker (had bought the 2nd but not installed it yet - stupid concrete floors)

Hope Sony doesn't screw up the Bass like Disney

Trash can release I can't believe they did a NEW 4K scan of such a horrible Godzilla if you can call it that, movie. It's a disgrace to call this abomination Godzilla and even worse they wasted time on this instead of the 4K releases people are dying for.

Never seen it myself, but I seem to recall someone raving about it here ... perhaps it was @AmerCa ?

Different version perhaps?

Watch it I think everyone should just to experience it but only if you can for free on Hulu, Netflix or TV anywhere where you don't have to pay extra for it or expect anything or a Godzilla movie.

That trailer with Eleven just reminded me to check for a release date on Stranger Things S3 on Netflix.

Looks like it might not be until 4th of July.

Is it just me, or did the bass (from the kick drum) in the Live Aid performance sound like it was lagging behind just a bit? I can only assume the sound mixers did it on purpose to try and convey the huge stadium they were playing in, but it was quite distracting to me.
