Finally watched Pacific Rim tonight. I was holding out because the previews made it look stupid. It was much better than that and was actually entertaining. The bass exceeded my expectations. That was a fun massaging ride. I have extra time next week and the following so the Cloverfield Trilogy is on tap.

I wish I actually had room for two subs but I don't . On a plus note finished TCP over the weekend. Wow I heard and felt things I didn't know my pb-2000 could do. Also have overlord at the top of my Netflix disc queue.

Ikr,I thought my PB-2000 was good enough with my old PC until I decided to upgrade it and it's completely different bass monster now. the bass goes deeper and heavier after running new pc for 2 months also the new PSU and MB gives better power management so the whole system is like living in heaven now and it's possible to upscale to 8K with Madvr

Since you've already watched Dredd, I'd give it Gods Of Egypt a go, it's a bass fest. Nice purchases, excellent deals.

Purchased Spiderman into the Spiderverse through Vudu Disc + Digital. While awaiting the UHD disc watched the first 20 min or so on iTunes (atmos track). Crazy LFE. I had MV at -30 although DEQ on and a 10db sub boost. Room was shaking! Impressive low end for any movie let alone streaming off iTunes. Glad to see they are not adverse to not filtering streaming titles at times.

Same experience but I watched through vudu. Even at a low volume (-30 or so) the digital had some great bass.
Can't wait to rock the disc when it comes!

Man my projector bit the dust finally the other night and i'm having serious home theater withdrawals!!! Had a Sony 40ES for about 4 years, which I really liked, and it finally bricked. Wont turn back on. I ordered a JVC RS540 and it will be here next week. Can't wait to get the theater back online.

Well it's very low in level overall, so it needs a ~6dB MV bump, which makes it a lot more normal, at least before it rolls off.

If you're still unhappy with it, then there's not much you can do about it...or is there?

I added +6dB on the sub and an additional 6dB over my normal MV and it was rather nice after that.

Since I watched Pacific Rim Tuesday night I watched Pacific Rim Uprising last night. Not a terrible movie, better than average when it comes to sequels. If I was an average person experiencing my system for the first time I would have thought the bass was excellent. However, I just watched the first one and see how much bass potential wasn't used. It's such a shame. After that I put in my 20 year old DVD of Titan A.E.. First listen with the new to me S3000is I got. Holy Moly does that movie still deliver the goods. I bought Overlord which I may watch tonight. I plan to watch the Cloverfield trilogy by Friday. Somewhere in there I want to give 9 and Tron Legacy a rewatch.

Just skip right to these. Especially "9"...the mix on this one is absolutely amazing. Then throw in The Cloverfield Paradox and you'll be a very happy man.

I agree with your take on Pacific Rim Uprising. Poor ULF mix, and an even worse movie (this part might just be me. Lol).
