Watched Pan's Labyrinth (the 2007 release) for the first time in 10 years. Pretty good bass. Looked for a graph, but could't find one. I found this in the old "The New Master List of BASS in Movies with Frequency Charts" thread:

"Pan's Labyrinth" DTS-ES DD-EX HD-DVD Blu-ray DTS-HD:MA
1. Captain Vidal, Chap 2 (0:07:53) 5Hz
2. The Magic Rose, Chap 3 (0:13:33) 12Hz
3. Fathers and Sons, Chap 4 (0:17:07) 5-15Hz
4. Into the Labyrinth, Chap 5 (0:22:18) 22Hz
5. The Giant Toad, Chap 7 (0:31:04) 22Hz
6. Our Daily Bread in Franco's Spain, Chap 10 (0:47:26) 0-20Hz
7. The Pale Man, Chap 12 (0:56:16)
8. The Maquis, Chap 13 (1:06:16)
9. Skirmish in the Hills, Chap 14 (1:08:48)

Watched the Disney animation Bolt last night. Have not seen it in years. It has a fantastic mix and the whole movie is great! Very good bass. Extremely underrated movie.

Eventually going to do paint and seats. It was just a frame, I did sheet rock the whole garage in, and hung the projector and screen. Also its 7.1.4, while I put sheet rock in, I did the atmos. I see your in seattle, Im in the Yakima area. I was looking at your Marty for sale, but after building these two, I don't think I need anymore for now.

This may not be some people's cup of tea, but I've always enjoyed Jeffrey Wright's acting long before he was on Westworld and this O.G. prison film is no exception!

The reason I graphed it is because I was initially watching it when my retired buddy came over and we got into a conversation and I swear the more we tried to talk, the more the bass interrupted what we were talking about making it almost impossible to hear each other! So we just finished watching the movie and enjoyed the bass, courtesy of HBO.

I know the peak spectrum graph doesn't make this movie look like it's all that exceptional, but trust me... when it calls for it, it comes in subtle waves as well as in spades.

Didn't know that was a thing! That's a good amount of 20Hz, I like!

Wow, strong 20Hz in that one!

Good Job SF, I don't think that one was ever graphed anywhere and I kept meaning to ask.

Going to be home alone this weekend and I should have my 2nd full Marty done by then, just need to put the top on, sand and paint. So its going to be a fun time to watch some movies, test out the speakers and piss off the neighbors.

Barrel Roll FoTP, but Ready Player 1 and Aquaman are great choices as well! You should download demo clips from the forum. Then you get to sample lots of movies.

Both are different. RP1 hits hard only when needed but Aquaman is relentless and ruthless lol. Both are great choices but my personal choice would be Aquaman as it quenched all my thirst that was caused by Diisney Atmouse mixes.

A Quiet Place? Could always go with the classics though, BR2049, Fury Road, Interstellar or EOT?

Its right up there with one of my favorite home theater demo movies thats for sure. I remember when Tron: Legacy came out and an IMAX a few hours from me was having their grand opening. It was the perfect movie for a theater opening lol. Was a great time.

Never heard of the movie Sicario before these threads. Because of the high praise it got I picked up both during the christmas sales really cheap in 4K. Finally got around to the first one last night. Movie is awesome. I loved the bass in the movie. It wasn't loud, it wasn't overpowering the dialogue or other dynamics, but it was strong and deep. There was a weight in the room and a sensation in the gut I loved at the same time as creeping me out.

Thats what I was afraid of when I first seen it was getting rebooted. So tired of re-boots and spin-offs and long winded continuations of movies in Hollywood.

Yeah that one was awesome but you can't compare them at all considering everyone from the director down is different with this 100% reboot. First they kicked Guillermo del Toro twice in the face with this HELLBOY reboot and that horrible Pacific Rim: Uprising and now David Fincher canceling World War Z 2 right when it was gonna start shooting. It's like these studios are so greedy they rather risk making junk with crap directors and writers losing millions than wait and make something the audience is begging for. It's beyond me how they are giving James Cameron billions to make Avatar 2, 3, 4 and 5 yet can't give money for original and interesting stories that aren't just technical demos wrapped into a movie.
