Wow @MrGrey! That is quite a bit! I would just pre-order then as well. I spoil myself once in a while, and do the IMAX with D-BOX, as it is enjoyable, but do not take the whole family.....

For all you ULF lovers that enjoy tons of TR, I highly recommend building a BOSS platform. This is the cheapest upgrade I’ve done in my theater and by far one of the best additions to date. It’s difficult to describe how awesome the effect is. I’ve just been playing regular bass demos without BEQ, and the tactile bass is absolutely incredible in every way. Jaw dropping in fact...just trying to spread the good word, that word is BOSS.

Speakers: PSA MTM-210T x2, MTM-210C, MT-110SR x2; Atmos-SVS Satellite x2, DIY Volt-10 x2
Subs: PSA V1801 x2, DIY: 18" RSS460HO, 15" RSS390HO x2, BOSS w/JBL CX1200 x6
MA’s: Crowson Tech x2
Processing: Denon X4200, NU6KDSP, 3KDSP
Video: Epson 3700; Screen: Silver Ticket 106" High Contrast

BOSS would be better for the BEQ crew with more substance under 25 hz.

I watched AQUAMAN in IMAX when I visited India in December. It was so much better than the IMAX theatres in UK. Paid $6. Took a share auto-rickshaw for $1 back home and had home made dinner lol. In England they are asking £20 for IMAX. No thanks. I will wait and watch at home.

I just started reading the first pages of the build thread (Hideaway) and it's very interesting. And seeing reviews like yours def makes me look forward to learning the build process so I can start. Also have to get into BEQ. I look forward to upgrading my experience for a few hundred $$$ (BEQ+BOSS) when I've already spent thousands on my theater.

It really is no joke and not gimmicky in any way like some of the cheaper tactile transducers. You can run it up higher, well above 30-40Hz for more TR as much as you prefer, which is great for people without near field subs to provide that extra kick far field subs can’t replicate. The BOSS platform benefits nearly every bass film, not just those with ultra deep ULF capabilities (which my subs do not have on their own).

It might not work for some people’s setups/furniture, but quite a few people are trying it now, because the cost barrier to entry is incredibly low compared to adding more expensive subs in room or shakers/MA’s. Compared to most DIY audio projects, it’s also very easy to build with minimal tools/time/experience. I slapped mine together over the weekend in a few hours and had it up and running on day 3 and that was with a lot of other family commitments in between. If loads of natural bass energy give you a happy feeling, I strongly recommend it.

Speakers: PSA MTM-210T x2, MTM-210C, MT-110SR x2; Atmos-SVS Satellite x2, DIY Volt-10 x2
Subs: PSA V1801 x2, DIY: 18" RSS460HO, 15" RSS390HO x2, BOSS w/JBL CX1200 x6

I'm going to see Endgame in the next few days because I can't stay off the Internet for 3 months to avoid getting spoilered

Geez movie tickets are expensive in the big city. In my small town it's about $10-$12 + convenience fee to order online depending on showing time. If I had to pay that much for movie tickets I'd never go either. My home theater experience is way better than any of the theaters around me. I might feel differently if I had an Alamo Drafthouse or some such nearby.

So what have I missed the past, oh say, 4 months I haven't visited the thread? Aquaman is the hot new thing obviously. Anything else that really rocked your socks?

These two surprised me. Especially Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse. Was not expecting that much bass.

The Lego Movie 2 seemed to have some good bass moments, too

Cool. I usually see movies at Dolby Cinema, IMax, or the Ultra Screen at Marcus Theater but since it was last minute I had to settle for a normal theater at Marcus.

Holy! That graph on the The Kid Who Would Be King.
I've planned to watch it tonight. Now i'm worried that i might blow my pb-1000 because of that low peek, and it's not only a peek, look at the avg!!. I know ported subs have highpass filter from the lowest frequency the sub can do and up, so from a 19hz down it should be filtered right ? so it doesn't bottom out. I'm flat down to 18hz in my room. I might have to run some tests at the level i listen to, before watching it. Dang it.

Thanks for the list! Spider-Verse was already on my buy list as a good movie so it's a pleasant bonus that it has bass as well; just added Aquaman based on the glowing recommendations here; already watched Cloverfield Paradox and it was indeed bass-errific. Don't know anything about Overlord or Hunter Killer so you've given me some homework to do. Cheers!

The first fifteen minutes of Overlord is nuts. If your aggressive on the MV you will be in for a heck of a ride!! Hunter Killer has some serious deep bass,,,,, keep an eye/ear look out from the 20:00 time stamp to about 28:00.

That reminds me I need to play the Cloverfield paradox into again now that audyssey fixed the 20Hz neutering in the MultEQ app

Anybody here been watching the Orville? We watched the finale last night and I was surprised. DVR recording from Xfinity X1 and it was putting out some very unexpected bass. I almost would have sworn I was watching it on disc or something

I rented Hotel Artemis last night and man that movie was great! Some fantastic bass and an all around great mix. Very dynamic in spots. I thought Jody Foster did a great job too.
