Oh boy....... I might have to rewatch a few things. That rolloff being gone is definitely noticeable even with a single pb-2000 in Cloverfield paradox on that intro scene.

Yup! I started with Batman vs Superman and just to think how many more on 5 star monsters tap! I used the app since getting my Rythmik F18 added to the rear of my room just waiting for the Governor to be removed knowing it would be something special (call me stupid for doing so but I've been busy) and it's been beyond that with infrasonic and tactile shuttering that's got me grinning and giddy

Huh, that's strange, its only for a moment but the AVG graph shows like half of the movie has 14hz waves.

Movie was ok. Acting was a bit meh, maybe that's why the imdb score was only 6, otherwise it's perfect for the family.

Could you elaborate on this? Do you need to run calibaration again, or is there a setting that needs changing when looking at the results in app, or do i just need to send the results to my AVR again from the app?

My room calibration results show this for my sub. I ran this around October/November last year-

I like it. The calibration seems better with it and the biggest thing is I can disable the midrange compensation dip that the AVR versions put in that can't be disabled in the AVR version.

Going by my sub results though, it doesn't even look like there's a dip. Was this a bug that only affected certain people or was it the same for everyone?

The app has already updated the curve that's why it doesn't look wrong. It wasn't a bug, it was intentionally rolling off around 20Hz. Similar to if you look at the other channels in the editor where you can change the curve. You'll see a rolloff on those channels. The same thing was being done on the subwoofer channels which now are just a straight line.

Ah, thanks, makes sense! I hadn't noticed getting a recent update for the app but I guess I have then. I wonder why they even had that roll off in the first place, but it'll be interesting to see if I notice much difference with my Arendal sub. I'll throw on a few bass scenes when I get a chance this week.

Actually I haven't got around to watching the Spiderverse disc yet so I'll make sure to update the AVR before watching it!

The Quake was certainly worth a spin for bass. Not a bass fest, but it hits in all the right spots and is very well done.

I agree, The Wave was a little more intense bass wise but The Quake indeed brought the goods when called for.

I just started watching GOT on Bluray. I bought the Series 1-7 on a black Friday special for about $75 but it's been sitting in my closet since.

I'm on S1E1 and wow this movie is loud. So was wondering for anyone else who might own it on bluray (Atmos) do you watch at your normal listening levels or did you have to dial back on the mv?

I can watch it like this but just trying to be cautious.

LOL I was being lazy and started my GOT re-viewing fest with VUDU streaming, just so I wouldn't have to get my lazy a** off the couch to switch discs. Now I'm going to have to start over (only somewhere in Season 2), but you're correct.....it's worth doing it right, and I should have just watched the discs in the first place.

Oh, and I'll watch at my "normal" movie MV of -6, as that's my benchmark and my system is completely safe at that volume no matter what the movie throws at me.

Yes it’s a known issue. Apparently the regular blu-ray Atmos track is fine, so people have taken to creating a hybrid remux
